Hi,

Does anyone here know how to find out if the US embassy has already received the paper version of your case? I called the embassy today and all they said that they received 'it' but she didnt say if it's electronic or hard copy.

Also, is it true that an interview is scheduled 150 days after the embassy has received the case? This is what the lady from the embassy told me I feel this way toooo long! :(

If any of you guys have an idea, please, please, let me know. I would deeply appreciate it.

Thank you!

If they said they received it, that means hard copy. They are not nearly so advanced as to be sending electronic copies... though we all wish they were...

As for the 150 days, I'm sure that's an estimate. I know the Philippines are very, very busy immigration-wise, so it may indeed be a little while. There are many others here who could give you a reasonable idea of what to expect. I'm sure they'll be checking in soon. :)

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.

Yes 150 days seems to be about the average for the Manila embassy.

And that is the busiest immigration site for the USA in the WORLD.

A quick check of the VJ stats shows 126 day average for interviews from the date Manila receives the case.

So 4 months give or take...

03/03/06 - First met in Manila

05/23/06 - "First" visit for 1 week

07/02/06 - Second visit for 1 week

09/01/06 - Third visit for 1 week, engaged

09/22/06 - FedEx I-129F packet copy to CSC

09/25/06 - Received at CSC by N. Tan

09/27/06 - NOA 1 mailed

10/01/06 - Touched

10/04/06 - Received NOA 1

Hi Kristen L & Lumubai2000,

126 days??? I am about to die!!! We've been waiting for ages! We filed our petition March 10, 2006 and if it is indeed 150 days, it means that it took us year just to have an interview. This is all too much... :crying:

Anyways, thank you so much guys!

Hi Lebby,

I was just looking at the timeline graphs posted on this site and it seems like March isn't exactly a good month to file a petition. I wish I had this information before :( I am already stressed and depressed.

Well, wish us luck and all those who filed petitions in March. I'll be praying for all of us.

Which part of the Philippines are you from? I'm from Manila. :)
