Ok, some great information on the Ukraine experience, and I thank you all for the helpful input! (I read it all) Now can I ask if anyone has any of the same information but for Belarus? My fiance has the most precious 9 year old daughter that has also had very little involvement with her father, he now lives in Moscow with his girlfriend and is expecting, the girlfriend that is. My fiance showed me pictures of his (Russian version Facebook site) wonderful pictures of him passed out on the lawn, humping statues, and all kinds of partying pictures of what I would might have expected of someone half his age. She thought I was joking, but i really thought he would be a great match for my ex-wife and had to show her the ex's Facebook to prove it! lol OK, back to my question; I have done a lot of research on the internet and found very little information on this subject and would truly appreciate any advice towards the Belarusian laws on this subject.

Again, Thank you,

Carl

Every Embassy will want the letter of permission from the father or mother.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

I split this topic from the topic for this same subject in Ukraine. Op is asking for Belarus specific information.

All Embassies want the letter; it's a universal requirement!
