I just filed I-90 to renew my green card. I am going to have my biometrics taken in 3 weeks. i got the appointment letter today. then what is next? is there any chance I will get my new green card without interview?

if there is an interview, what do they ask?

I have no criminal record. i was away from US for several years, but I always come back to US every 5 months. Now i just moved back to US for good. I filed tax form for most years, but I missed a few years because I made much last than the tax exemption, which is about USD 80000 a year.

Filed an I-90? So you have a 10 year card and it's expiring? No interview for that.

As for taxes... you are confused. You MUST file taxes on ALL overseas income. You can file for an exemption on foreign income but you MUST file for the exemption.. this means still filing taxes. You need to file back taxes for the years you missed.

Also, you have been abusing your greencard by living outside the US for the last "several years" and only coming back every 5 months. You are very lucky your GC was not revoked.

You have been lucky so far, have your documentation about your taxes and ask a tax professional what to do. I think you can always file a short form for those missing low income years years, (best guess).

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

did you show up to this appointment, or no ?

I ask now, because you have many different posts since this one, on a 'fishing' expeditition, trying to get back into the USA to get some 'status'.

What's up?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
