Why wouldn't you want to pursue the Cr-1 visa?

You need to prepare yourself for the Cr-1, if the I129F makes it out of NVC and to the consulate then you can make a decision.

Good luck

If your husband is still active duty, you can get your visa expedited. Its a lot faster for military to get visa. Lucky you!

You need to complete I-130 for CR1 visa.

Don't waste time with K3 visa because you are first required to submit I-130 for CR1 and it is always approved before the I-129 gets approved. The I-129 dies at the NVC if the I-130 is approved and already being processed.

I wasted the time and money and the above took place.

If the NVC receives both an approved I-130 petition and an approved I-129F petition it is now processed as CR-1.

Just as you have been advised, the approved I-129F will be administratively closed at NVC in other words, your K-3 case will be closed and the approved I-130 will be processed as a IR-1/CR-1 case -- depending on the length of your marriage. The length of your marriage determines which visa you're issued. Yes, the petitioner (your husband) will be contacted by NVC for further precessing of the I-130.

so a k3 will be processed as an ir-1 or 2 if it has been approved by uscis
