After mailing my wife's and step son's 130s petitions, I realized today, I failed to include his birth certificate in his package. They were sent to the California Service Center, just received today June 7; Should I mail it to the center or wait for a RFE...or will it be sent back for me to refile it ??? Darn.

What should I do??

I had forgot something in my petition as well and called California Service Center. They told me to wait for an RFE and they would request the info I forgot to send as there was no way to assure it would be connected with my file when it got there.

Live for today because you never know what tomorrow will bring!

Thanks for the reply. I figure they'll be missing the birth cert, prob hard one for them to overlook! I expect I'll be getting the RFE in a short time.

Wait for an RFE. Sending it now would likely be an exercise in futility as it is unlikely that it would be matched with the file.

Thanks for the replies. I'll just sit tight and wait for the RFE. Would a local office copy of it suffice for now anyway?? I just discovered, we only have that copy of it, and we'll apply at a regional office to get a NBI copy of it for NVC later.

Pfffff! Darn! thanks!
