Hi All,

Finally got the NOA2. Waiting on hardcopy. Is it possible to schedule the interview from the KEV number alone. Or does my fiancee (beneficiary) need wait paperwork in the mail? It appears the Kiev website has all the information we need so was wondering how this works??? And if i can schedule sooner rather than later??

thx in advance!!

Wait a few days so that the US Embassy in Kiev receives the approved petition from the NVC then call for her appointment. We did and the hardcopy followed soon after. Congratulations!

Congrats on your approval!!!

Usually after NVC sends package to Kyiv it will take about 2 weeks to get entered to the system. This is when you can call and schedule an interview. In a mean time you can have your fiancee do the medical.

Thank you all for the info. We were planning on her doing the medical 2 days before interview, as it states you can get results same day after 3 pm. Sometime around here, i will be meeting her in kiev to attend interview. Anyone see a problem with doing the medical so close to interview???

Just a piece of advice--have her get ALL of her US required vaccinations done at the medical in Kiev. Be sure to get a copy of the DS-3025 as this will be needed to send with her AOS. Finding a CS here to just do vaccinations and complete the forms at a reasonable price is tough. Congratulations!!!!!!

I agree with Phil's comment concerning the vaccinations. I am finding it difficult to find a civil surgeon that can do all the vaccinations. Certainly, I did not think this would be a problem in a large city like Houston, but it has been a challenge.

Congratulations. Hopefully when you are ready to go to Kiev, the over crowding and high rent will have reduced as a result of Euro 2012. That starts tomorrow and goes for two weeks. Kiev is very crowded now and there is hardly any rooms to rent anywhere.

Also, have your fiancee check the holiday schedule coming up as the embassy recognizes (closes) both American and Ukrainian holidays.

Thanks All. Two last questions, is the phone number of NVC on NOA2 hardcopy? Does NVC also send out notice when they forward?

thanks again in advance.

Here is the phone number for NVC: 603-334-0700

NVC will send out a notice to the petitioner with the case number, and information that is being forwarded to the embassy.

You are almost there

This is not to alarm you but only to give you our medical exam story: Lena had her medical exam performed about 1 month prior to the interview and as it turned-out, glad she did go early. The physician observed something on her chest film and because of that, required her to come back to Keiv for 3 consecutive mornings the following week for sputum tests. Again, a 7 hour train ride from Kharkov, hotel expenses and lots of worry. The sputum tests were negative and she was informed that she had passed the medical exam. This said, it seems like >95% of those that have their medical exam a couple of days before their interview are successful. This is just our story. Good luck!
