Hello guys, I checked my online status and it says that they sent the BIO appointment letter May 30th. I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet and its been like 7 days now. The letter should have gotten here by now. My biggest fear is missing my appointment. I called USCIS and was told to wait 30 days. I'm worried it got lost in the mail and that I will miss my original appointment. Any thoughts guys? Thanks

Received Receipts: 04/12/07

Received FP NOA: 04/16/07

Received INTERVIEW NOA: 05/14/07

Interview Date: 7/13/07 @ 10:35 AM (CANCELLED BY USCIS! 6/20/07)

LUD 765: 6/13/07 (Card Production Ordered)

LUD 485 & 130: 6/20/07

LUD 485 & 130: 6/21/07

Received EAD: 6/22/07

New Interview Date: 7/31/07 @ 10:40 AM APPROVED!

The letter shouldn't have got there by now, you need to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive.

First of all, never ever trust what the website tells you. Their website is nothing but a full blown inaccurate place for misinformation.

Second of all, give it another week. Even if their printed your letter on the day it says on the website, it might NOT get into the actual delivery route for a few days to a week.

I'd give them a call if still nothing shows up 2 weeks from now. The minimum days between the notice and the actual bio appointment I believe is 30 days, as a precaution and buffer.

Ok thanks guys. I filed May 2nd and it just seems like its been a long time. When I applied for GC it took like 2 weeks total for the bio letter to arrive. And then when I read that it was sent May 30th I felt like it should have been delivered by now. Thanks for the replies.

2 weeks is normal, 7 days is a bit soon. It will turn up soon. :)

This is how I missed my first scheduled oath ceremony. I would wait a few more days and call them if you don't get anything. Good luck! :thumbs:

Honestly do you expect both the USCIS AND the USPS to keep their promises and work at their maximum efficiency? I've been lied to so many times by both of them. My ROC is past one year mark and after many lies they are STILL working on it without giving me any reasons why it's late.

Heh, only thing I can think off that 30 days wait is due to if the original letter does show up in 30 days then there won't be need to make another appointment and delay your application over all.

Just wait, like we said, give it 2 and no more than 3 weeks, if it doesn't show up then tell them it's been a month since the notice and then maybe they will do something.

Remember USCIS is almost a hit and miss thing. Also be patient and if sh*t hits the fan, get hold of your congressman and let them sort it out.

As I said to you before, if it gets to next Wednesday and you haven't received the letter then call USCIS and ask to speak to tier 2. They will be able to confirm when your appointment is. It will probably turn up before then though. :)

I'm pretty sure they can fax you the appointment letter if it doesn't turn up, try not to worry too much!
