ok, I know that I need to obtain at least two certified copies of my translated birth certificate, for AFTER I get to the US....

however, in going through the flowline and such here on VJ, I don`t recall seeing that in the procedures after I enter US I will need my police certificates. So my question is, do I translate them and make one certified copy of each just to be on the safe side?

That is only for the U.S Embassy you do not need it in the U.S a police Certificate

hmmm, well actually- when David was here we went to the emabssy and the nice lady there photocopied for us the example of the package that they will send to me, once they get all the paperwork....btw, this is the Zagreb, Croatia Embassy

in the checklist from the package, it says that to the interview I must bring certified copies of both the birth certificate and the police certificates, I will, of course, bring the originals as well....
