Hello all,

My 5 mos mark was yesterday.. I have NOT heard anything from USCIS, possible delay in processing/initial review in our case.. I'm going CrAzY :wacko: ,I can't stop looking at my fone; awaiting for an e-mail or a text... I can't even put my fone down for just 10 mins.. I'm visiting my amazing husband in two weeks and hoping to hear anything by then to get our papers completed. Do i wait a few days to call USCIS..? Or call them ASAP??

Hello All,

I did call USCIS yesterday.. It looks like CA USCIS is delayed 18 days of processing I-130.. Ppl that applied back in 12/2011 are finally hearing from their NOA2.. Bummer!! :wacko: Keeping my head up, :thumbs: nothing i can really do but wait :whistle: to hear from USCIS.

so eventhough your 5 months is up, they cant submit a Service Request for you? That's ridiculous.... Did you ask to speak to a tier 2 rep?

what is so mysterious is that i have a tier 1 giving me information about my service request number. even though they aren't suppose to look at it. i am just baffled or this is just a sloppy process.

this is so stupid with the long wait and that me and my wife have a clean record. i can guarantee that we are not associated with terrorist or criminals in any way. the background check is still pending... i am just amazed how un-effective or unproductive uscis.. i guess they don't have any real motivation besides working on premium business visa.

I had the same thing happen to me. I called yesterday at 5months and they said call tomorrow. SO I called today and they said they could not file a request because they were processing December 16th. The rep told me to call back in 30 days.

Can I escalate to tier2? I will be in China in 30 days.

don't tell them why you want to escalate to tier 2. just tell them you have some confidential info would like to talk about.

also if they deny you, try calling again on the same day with hope of a different person would help you.

Yessss, i completely understand where you all are coming from.. You would think after all these years of USCIS processing, management would do a lot of improvement to circulate the work process in a timely manner (meet deadlines).. While we wait and wait to hear about our cases.. It's very unacceptable.. My husband and i have a clean background too. I almost told the CSR, it's not my problem your 18 days delayed (thinking: why are you even telling me?) the USCIS should have all this organized.. Missing with people's lives and emotions..

Wow!! Why is this process so difficult?? I'm like they did a background check on me when I did my citizenship in Oct? You mean to tell me, you still digging for what?? its all there..

Today marks 4 mths for us and I'm hitting the ground running God forbid 5 mths come and nothing.. Something needs to be done at the way things are handled.

They are not processing the file for 5 months. It sits in waiting for most of the time. I filed for k1 and got denied after the interview and now am waiting for CR1 and they will not use any of the information from the K1 filed 8 months before. It's just bureaucracy. The government is full of it. Even in job applications they ask for a mountain of forms before they look at you resume and decide not to move forward.

Tier 2 will give you same answer. My wife called on 4 June and talked to a Tier 2, received same answer. "We are currently processing petitions from December 16, 2011, call again after 30 days".

I called again today. The guy told me that the CSC updates their dates on or near the 15th of every month so they have been saying 12/16 since May 16th. This means they cannot file a request for anything later than 12/16 until the dates are updated on June 15th or 18th and then my case needs to be past the new date given.

So this is some new info for me. He told me to call next week, whereas the last person said 30 days.
