We finally got our papers mailed off for our K1 May 30th for a June 1st arrival in Dallas. Looking forward to this journey to see how it goes. This is my second attempt as my first was in 2007. I cancelled due to feeling I was being scammed. I hired an Attorney the first time to do it all. This time I did the papers along with my fiancee. We are a team and will walk through this journey hand in hand...

I am hoping for her approval and interview around Christmas time as I have two weeks off work then and will travel to Phils.. I am looking forward to seeing her, our friends and many many loving people I know in the RP... I wish I could find an Ex Pat job again in Philippines. I love it there! Good luck to all of you and God Bless.

December should be a realistic timeframe. Our I-129F took about four and a half months to get the NOA2. Then a few more weeks for it to arrive at the embassy in Manila.

Good luck!!

Remember, the NBI is good for I think six months, so in the fall I'd go ahead and have her do that, get her official birth certificate from the NSO, there are still things you can do while waiting.

And if she lives overseas anywhere, make sure to get that police report. Some of them take 2 to 3 months to acquire.

Yeah....I love it there also. My wife and I are hoping to save some money so we can start a business in the Philippines. I want to live there permanently one day. Good luck to you and your fiancee in this journey.

Thanks everyone. Yeah she just got her NBI in March as this is when she got her passport. I believe she has all her clearances as she spent two days in Cebu obtaining all that she needed for her passport. I know she will still need the Seminar thing as we get closer or approved. She is still working to keep her mind occupied during this time. Once we get towards NOA2 she will resign to take care of all her other items needed.

Thomas and cleofe: I owned four businesses in the Philippines. Made one successful, other two I couldn't make them work out. Message me off line if you want to know things to look for. Living there for 5 years and visiting since 1998 I have a lot of war wounds lol. I was into food, restaraunts and consulting. Check out www.emci.com.ph That was one of my businesses. I also owned a Balamban Liempo franchise, the best Liempo in the Philippines :) I wish I had listened to the franchise owner which is my best friend in Philippines. He wanted me as a partner back in 2009. I said no as I was stung two other times. He now has about 70 franchises and climbing.... Just like me, right church wrong pew lol.

Good luck

Sending mine I-129F this week. I am hoping that we can spend our first White Christmas together. I also started a couple of businesses in the Philippines to pass the times and also will help my fiancee's family. I would caution you guys when starting one in the Philippines. It is not as easy as it sounds.

LsnBigBear: Liempo is making me hungry.

I am big sisig fan. My fiance also wants me to go with her to the interview. I have been reading through the forums and I am still on the fence whether it is a good idea to to do that. I live in California so we have to go to Big Bear for the White Xmas.

Hey Neodragon if this is your first experience at this and you have no issues like too much age gap, money, employment etc then she can handle it on her own.. This is my second K1 filing. I cancelled or tried to cancel my first in 2008 as I found she was acting different which later I heard she ended up with an American she had be secretly responding to as we were going thru our process. So it is best if I go to interview as I did not go first time..... Plus we have 22 year age gap I am proud to say.... I use to have problems dating a woman younger than my son's but not anymore.. That is why I say I am proud to have Carmela as my future wife....

Good luck

I sent our package on Sat, June 2. I got the email and text June 6th. When I checked the case online, it shows receipt June 4th. I can only hope the whole process goes as quickly... But I know it won't. I miss him so much! I am trying to decide if I should fly in for the interview... I'd like to see him sooner but don't want to pay for two trips... He suggested I save the money and we can use messenger. I also love the Philippines and miss my friends dearly...
