My fiance is from Erfoud Morocco- just at the edge of the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes in the Sahara. It's a lovely place and always seems to rain when I am there. My inlaws tell me I am lucky for the desert.

Just to vent a bit though- I am so tired of the Lawrence of Arabia man in the desert flowing robes comments!

As for me I am from many places- my father had a bit of wanderlust. I was born in New Orleans, currently live in Houston.

Najia - where in Louisiana ? If you are close enough, come to Houston for one of the Moroccan society community picnics when you are feeling homesick. You will always have a place to stay.
