**May not be a government agency performing the "service" but it is a government requirement, which makes it about the same: Per Republic Act 8239 and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Order 28-94, Filipinos proceeding abroad as spouses and other partners of foreign nationals are required to attend the CFO’s guidance and counseling program as a pre-requisite to the issuance of passports

Yes, I understand this. My wife has already attended and completed all the CFO requirements....Thank you.

I'm not sure if you got a complete crazy or if something set them off. Maybe a little of both. How many times have you been divorced? How long have you known each other? They don't go this crazy on everyone so something had to have set them off. Maybe it was something that happened right before she got there to. Can't believe some of the stuff they're asking

I guess we will see won't we. If she has to go to SMEF-COW because PRISM isare A _ _ holes, then we will see what SMEF-COw says when her father a Police Officer shows up with her. Right now we are only waiting for the letter from the friend that introdiced us and she said she would send it today. By the way, everyone has a superior and a chain of command tney have to answer to, even in the Philippines.

Instead of getting pisses and trying to make waves.... "superior and chain of command...", give them what they request and move on with the important things in life.... namely your new life with your soon to be wife. What is the cop going to do? Manila Massacre... part dux....?

Wow....

Sorry to hear this Rick, I hope i don't get the same people hmmmm Being this is my second time too? Wonder if my fiancee will not have trouble with them being she is 28 soon to be 29 and has a child that is 7. I do know the Philippines in general the stores/malls are picky when hiring girls there they wouldn't even hire my fiancee just because she was over 25 what kind of bull is that? Hell i think she looks better than a lot of the younger girls there. But hey Rick I hope it works out because I'm kind of in the same boat and following you on this.

She got her certificate. I had my friend and his wife a letter and send thier IDs since they rent a room in my hoise. They released it to her today. Next step June 4th interview. We are almost there.

I totally agree with you. The CFO is not a government agency. Where do they get authorization to say who can leave the country and who can not leave?

You said you have a friend from Clarion. That is only 15 minute drive from my house...

She didn't help me. I went a different route and they released her certificate a few hours ago.

SHe got her passport first, so the system is screwed uo isn't it?

Your real funny aren't you. One of the letters they wanted I couldn't obtain from the lady who introduced us. She is in Clarion, Iowa and I was am from Indianapolis, Indiana. THey wanted it from her becasue she introduced us, which has nothing to do with the seminar, period. She is separated from her husband and claims not to have access to a PC, which I know is BS. So I made a letter from my best friend and his wife who rent a room in my house and it basically said they witnessed me talking to her and being introduced to Jovi and that they witnessed how much we loved each other, blah, blah, blah. You get the point. I photo copied the letter with their signatures and drivers licenses and sent it to Jovi. CFO accepted it, but questioned her about my previous marriages again. I guess they were trying to see if she would give them different information. Long story short, they released the certificate to her, but we had to jump through unnecessary hoop because they are Power Monger and Losers who are jealous.

I think the red flag they jumped on is this is NOT your first time through.... you were their issue.

I am glad CFO issued the sticker and all is good for your fiancee to fly to be with you!!
