Getting an RFE :(

I guess we are getting an RFE. While I know this isn't the end of the world, it's frustrating. The wait is so horrible at times.

Hopefully it's something simple to fix. Either way, getting an RFE is not the end of the world at all. The good news is that it means that someone's looked at your file. Once you send in the RFE response, you should be hearing of a decision in a few weeks!

I have no idea why. The only thing that I can think of is that I only had 2 photos to send and they were indirectly showing us together because we were back to back in a row boat! We have taken pictures since. Do you have any idea if it is an issue to send in those more recent photos if that's what they want? They were taken after the app was sent though. I have never liked to have photos taken and so we never took them together because we didn't know we would need them to apply for a visa

In that case it could be anything, maybe you just missed answering a question, could be a request for additional information or maybe the photo as you suspect. They are giving you the opportunity to fix it so don't panic.

Can't say for sure if you would have an issue. There is no minimum on the amount of photos to submit. Photos taken after the petition was sent wouldn't count. However, they certainly count for the interview.

hi good to everything in the forum ... good to me I get an RFE. as the letter told me to put a date on the photo you sent and affidavid missing just that they were asking me .. I hope that everything goes well and I was approved for the NOA2

Getting an RFE can be a boon in disguise, si man. Besides responding exactly and completely to whatever the RFE requires, you can also add further selected evidence of bona fide relationship. This can be photos, correspondence, or evidence of extra trips that you took between the sending of the petition and your receipt of the RFE.

USCIS will not care about this extra material, but the consulate certainly will, and USCIS passes to the consulate what you send. In essence, you're satisfying USCIS with what it wants, and bolstering your case with the consulate with the added enclosures, si man.

Be sure that in NO correspondence do you refer to each other as "husband/wife," even if it's affectionate humor. Select only meaningful material that shows your serious commitment, and nothing that you have to black out with a marker because it's too steamy, no man.
