Today is the day!!

It was almost 7 months ago when Jordan was told he could no longer visit the US, because he was engaged and the first day we learned what a K-1 visa was. We had no clue. Those were some dark days. Then we discovered Visa Journey and started on the path. Now here we are today....

At this moment he's probably standing in the same area at the Vancouver airport with a K-1 Visa in his hand ready to come home!!

He'll be arriving at the OC Airport this afternoon!!!

Keep the faith everyone...your day will come, I promise!

It is the greatest feeling.

Thoughts are with you all still waiting, I check the timelines every day in hope the rest of you can at least get an NOA2. the only comfort though small, is that it is taking a long time, but alas, its coming, Brock - at least when you get yours, you can be nicely rushing around to get everything else sorted in time for your intended POE, once you have your visa, waiting will be hard.

Relshamy/Pathotoko - nothing I can say will give you comfort at all, except, it gets better, and the wait you are enduring, is worth it in the end.

congrats to Packet 3 and 4 receivers, so close you can smell it now. :)

Patty - just moments away from no more long goodbyes. so excited for you right now.

as for me.. ahem.. my visa arrived at my office in Sydney on Friday, I finished up my job on Friday also, left NZ yesterday, mildly emotional, felt guilty I wasn't more so, I love my country, but nothing feels as good as being with my fiance, I'm now in Sydney, sorting out my bags, closing bank accounts, saying goodbye, trying to not drink every day! everyone wants a farewell drink. in 3 more sleeps.. I'll be flying to Hawaii at last, I'm glad its a night flight and hopefully I will drop to sleep, its going to be the longest 10 hours, but with the sweetest reward at the other end.

I'll check in here again later. I look forward to more good news from you all. (F)

:star: On to the next phase in your life. Now I will know more people in Hawaii.

Hey :) Just wondering since you got your NOA2 within the last month - how long did it take for you to get a case number from the NVC? And did you book the medical before you received anything from the London embassy?

How do you even book a medical? Is it online or over the phone?

Well, we called NVC about once a week, and each time htey got pissy with us and told us to call back after 15 days. We finally called on the 23rd of November and they told us they sent it to the embassy on the 17th, about a week after they got it, despite us calling after that date and being rudely rebuffed!

As for booking the medical, I just called Knightsbridge doctors with the LND number and booked it over the phone. They told me I could have it as soon as Wednesday (I called on Monday), so there doesn't appear to be a long waiting list.

I booked the medical before I heard anything. I also sent the papers off before I heard anything (day of the medical, actually, once I got into London) -- and when I got home from London, Packet 3 was sitting on my doormat. :hehe:

Sweetdelish is sooo close now!

Ah yes, calling the NVC....they must train them to be that grumpy and rude. I had the same experience every time I called.

Jordan said they were grumpy and somewhat rude at his POE, but it didn't matter. His flight was delayed almost an hour so I was going crazy on Saturday. But our moment finally came. We made quite a scene at the airport when he ran down the escalator and into my arms. Pinkrlion, you are right, it is the greatest feeling.

It was so hard to go to work this morning....hurry up Friday!

Yes you will. :) how is your wedding plans going?

Woohoo sweetdelish, the end is near!

I'm jut sending my packet 3 into the embassy. I'm sick of waiting! Can't wait for this to be over

just one more day before I get on a plane.

its nearly over, the longest wait is done, this next phase is just frustrating. but you will get there soon.

haha.. going home every night must be such a great feeling though, your airport scene sounds so sweet! I don't think I'll be able to run into his arms, not with my trolley full of bags. haha. I can't wait, just 1 more sleep till I go.

I handed back my computer to my office yesterday, did my exit interview, they've told me I need to convince him to move out here so they can have me back. which is nice, I know they like me, and I know I'll always get re-hired if I come back.

todays adventure, a touch up on my tattoo. ;)

Oh my f**king god this is getting beyond a joke!

Last night my fiancee called the USCIS to get an update. According to them they are going to send them out by this Friday (7th December). Ok so that's like the 4th time they have lied to us.

But this gets so much worse and serious. An hour later I asked my fiancee if she could ring them again because I forgot to ask about our NOA1 number since we lost it (actually one of the kittens weed on it lol!) so we could track it online. We managed to speak to someone and according to that persons' record, the letter was sent out to my UK address 3 WEEKS AGO!!!

They sent it to number 42, and I am 41! Not only that, our neighbours didn't recognize my name so they put it back in the post box marking it RETURN TO SENDER!!!

Apparently the interview is on the 12th December, but fiancee had to pay about $196 for the letter to be sent again registered to my correct address.

I am getting frustrated and extremely annoyed! On top of that my fiancee has excess chemotherapy in her body which is poisoning her body and the doctors are not sure weather she is fit enough for her to fly over. My emotions are all over the place, I can't sleep or eat and I haven't seen her for 7 months and I am tired of all this false hope and lies they are telling us!!

Not only that, they gave us the NOA1 number (starts with WAC, 13 characters in total) and it doesn't work on their website so I can't track it online!! I dunno how much I can take. What should I do?! :crying: :crying:

Sounds awful

Sorry, but I don't understand how you can have an appointment for an interview, when you have not received packet 3?

Oh Brock, I'm so sorry! I really feel for you, that is such an awful position to be in.

You guys are already going through enough without USCIS adding to the stress. :(

I really hope that things will be more straightforward for you guys from here on out...

It's been 13 days since we got the NOA2 and my fiance hasn't had time to ring the NVC yet, but hopefully he will sometime before I fly out there for the hols next Friday :D Your info is really useful to me, thanks :)

What a mess :( It sounds all over the place like things are being done out of the usual order :/ Maybe contact the NVC and ask if they have any knowledge of your case? Or if you have an interview at the London embassy, contact them and see what they know about it? If the NVC or London have no knowledge of your case then at least you know it's still definitely a USCIS problem and maybe your fiancee can get someone involved from a higher level like a congressman? Although I really don't know about that side of things, just trying to think of possible avenues to go down :/ I'm really sorry this is happening to you guys.
