Congratulations to everyone on their progress!

Now, for the ladies of this group... have you started planning anything for your wedding? Have you looked at dresses?

I found a picture of a dress that is perfection

That dress is beautiful! I went for my first fitting yesterday. I also picked out a hair piece (tiara) and shoes. 5 of my friends went with me, drinking champagne before. LOL We had a lot of fun. The lady who was pinning my dress called them my entourage.

We have the caterer set, next is invitations....which can't be sent until after Nov 26th

 Mine is tomorrow. Ordering my invites this week, not following protocol, since everyone invited lives here. I need to find a veil. Still alot to do.

That dress is gorgeous!!! I saw the perfect dress but alas, it's no longer available :crying: . We're having a Court ceremony so our party will be a modest affair but with a forties theme (lol)!! A BIG do is planned for a year or so down the line in my home country. Until then I'll be searching for the right-for-me dress or dressmaker.

Hi everyone :)

I haven't really been around much at all, mainly because for so long coming to this site just made me cry rather than made me feel better. I'm sure it's not meant to be like that, but I think it's different for everyone. Anyway, now that Vermont are finally approving May filers, I'm really hoping this stage of waiting will be over soon. Congratulations to everyone who has had their approvals so far! From looking at the timelines of people who got approved in August from CSC, it seems to be roughly another 2-3 months after NOA2 before the interview and POE stage, would you say that's about right?

Hoping for good news all round for everyone here :)

yayy got our RFE letter in today, it states all we need to send in are updated passport photos of both of us. Has anyone ever taken a photo of themselves or should we just suck it up and have him mail the photos to me which could take over a week to get here! =(

Also, is it possible for them to go back and review it and send another RFE after they take another look at our file? The reason I ask is because I had forgotten to put a letter in the orginal packet stating that we intended to get married oooopppsss. And I am curious if I could put in the RFE packet I send out, or should I just wait and see?? Help please!!

We could have had ours scheduled in 2 months after NOA2, but we had to wait due to work contraints. Every embassy is different. You might want to check Timelines similar to yours to get an idea on the time frame for you.

I'm no expert, but I believe you need an "official" passport photo which will have to be mailed. We tried to get Costco to send and electronic file and they would not. Others may have a better suggestion.

I would think you could add the letter of intent with the RFE. Just put a cover letter on it explaining why you are including it now.

I know that my fiancee has had 4 dress fittings already. They said that she is a size 3 (lucky for some!!). She is in love with her dress. It is the one designed by Christian Dior. Her grandparents take her and bought her this gorgeous necklace to go with it. There was only one left and another person was looking it at, so she decided to snag it before it was gone lol!

But thats the only thing she has done! Myself (the man!) has already gotten quotes for the flights for my UK peeps to come over, the hotels they will be staying at, the decor, the location for the wedding and reception. Still need to get the catering sorted out, the rings and the tuxedos.

Having some mental blocks on what is the best way to bring 2 families together before the wedding though. Despite the differenct cultures I thought it would be nice for both sides of the families to bond. I have thought about taking them to Applebees or Chilis, but is there anyone else who have ahd some thoughts about this just out of curiosity? :bonk:

I can't give up the habit of coming here at the moment. but in a split second decision, my fiance has called it off again, we've been stronger than ever, and so happy, hes been excited and counting down the days telling anyone who would listen about our plans, Friday he was making arrangements, switched his life insurance to me as the beneficiary, fixed up the car he has ready for me, called our marriage officiant about vows, photos and the certificate, completed forms with my name on them to come to Korea with him and talked at length with the administrator about his time in NZ and Australia, looked at booking our flights to Vegas and Chicago, talked to the guys at work about his plans told me that they were really happy for him, then I told him that I was worried that I might not be able to go to Korea with him, he said it was a slim chance and not to worry, it will work out.... and then Friday afternoon, he told me that he was too scared to get married, that I put the doubt in his mind and he wouldn't want to go to Korea and have a long distance relationship again, so he is calling it off. Hes barely spoken to me since, I've tried to suggest alternative options but hes not even prepared to talk to me.

Hes done this before, and snapped out of it, but I don't think its going to happen this time. I'm trying to figure out a time when I have to just let go and move on. I'm stunned. and clearly venting here... again.

I never thought this would happen to us again.

I hope no one else has to endure what I'm going through now. best wishes to you all. (F)
