Trying to figure out our best route...

Anyone have an idea which is better (faster), doing the fiance visa and marrying in the states or marrying here (el salvador) and then applying for spouse visa? or should we (can we) try for a tourist and later fiance?

i am pregnant and wanting to go home to the states to have the baby, but obviously need the father there! i have seen terrible situations where the father misses out on the birth because of the long wait. we are trying to decide the best way to go so we can be together in the states at least for the birth so looking for the fastest way... please help!

DCF would be fastest, if available.

Then K1

K2 not relevant

K3 slowest

B2 is not an immigrant visa, and anyway I doubt you would get one.

If you are legally resident in El Salvador, it is certainly worthwhile to find out if the Consulate will allow you to file a petition for your *spouse* there (you can ask before you get married, to leave your options open). this is known as DCF and you can read about it here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2939

Pregnancy isn't a factor that's considered in terms of immigration. It's not necessary for the male to be present for a succesful birth.

In my opinion, your best bet is DCF if it's available and you qualify. If not, then K1, K3.........A tourist visa is probably the least likely and hardest to obtain given the country you're dealing with.
