LOL, i got a false checklist to pay the IV even though they hadn't posted it yet either... i just ignored it... and i'm seeing that you did actually call now and saw that the AOS was approved, CONGRATS!!! :D they should've been able to tell you when... find out on ur next call tomorrow maybe...

Tomrw... Nopeee I can't take that 20 day quote 2days in a row. Id wait until Monday, so far I'm happy with the progress I've made. No bitching from me until its time to get my interview date (around June 4th my brain is set to call for that date, right now its geting into vacation mood).

hey guys... so sending in my AOS package tomorrow... am I missing anything?

  • coversheet
  • i-864
  • letter explaining why I have not filed any taxes.
  • letter of employment for both myself and household relative
  • 4 recent paystubs for myself
  • i-864 for my mother, the household member
  • Tax return transcripts for 2009, 2010 and 2011
  • 2 most recent paystubs for my mother which lists the year to date totals
  • naturalization certificate (proof of citizenship)
  • original and copy of my birth certificate (proof of relationship)

Looks good good.gif

Just back from my interview. APPROVED. It's such a relief. Thank you everyone for the support.

Grats!! kicking.gifkicking.gif

Woke up to find that NVC emailed me at 1am saying my interview is June 4!!! So happy!!!:dance::dance:

Grats! kicking.gif

oh my i think i have an addiction

Im staring at the phone, i wanna pick it up and call NVC...but... there's nothing i need to find out. now i just feel like a phyco :bonk:

my AOS packet was delivered last friday and my IV was delived today so i know for sure they havent approved any..

I gotta find something to do till Monday... guess id be looking for a 5 day hobby goush i hate weekends.

Well, I was going to suggest to call as your AOS could be approved by now, but looks like you know that now ;) Your IV package should be reviewed by the end of the week. I'd suggest calling late on Friday ;)

Oh goodness... A false RFE (or so I think... Hubby's on hold with the NVC as we speak).

Got a "Checklist" email that says:

___1-IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:___

The Embassy/ Consulate where you will be interviewed requires you to submit an electronic form DS-261 whcih can be found at:

http://travel.state....info_5165/html. ............

However, we sent that in as soon as we were able to, (like an hour after we got our OPTIN-email approval), and it is officially accepted and completed. According to an email confirmation, and a "completed" check on the CEAC portal.

Ugh, making me nervous!

Anyone have any tips on this? :)

That's a first, lol. Never seen a checklist for the DS-261. It's clear NVC has received it and processed it. I can't see your timeline at the moment, but did you recently send your AOS package in?

Hi,

I just sent the choice of agent by e-mail. How will I know that It has been accepted and considered for IV processing?

Will the NVC send an e-mail and how long did it take from your experience?

Thanks.

NVC will email in response to that DS-3032 email, either accepting or rejecting it. The ultimate clue of them accepting it is the IV bill being invoiced.

Lately, it's been taking a week or so to hear a response back.

DS-3032 was received by NVC on May 4th.

Just got checklist and IV fee bill. Paid immediately.

Already sent AOS and IV packets.

You should always wait on sending packages until after the bills appear as PAID in the payment portal. Hope neither of them gets rejected and holds you up at NVC...

I just got my email from the NVC saying the case is complete. Now we have to wait for his interview date.

Congratulations on getting your case completed! Hopefully you get a favorable interview date.

Does the NVC always send out emails when the case has been completed? I think two different operators have told me that the only correspondence they would have via email would be when the interview was scheduled.

Thanks!

Don't worry, be happy.

Only those doing EP (electronic processing) get case complete emails. I have seen a FEW non-EP folk get it, but it's rare, and don't expect one in your case.

OK, so I hate that it has come to this. After waiting for so long, I never wanted this to happen.

So I have my AOS Package sitting in my drafts all ready to send. The invoice shows as paid. But I am reluctant to send it now. I am trying to think what exactly it would mean submitting the Affidavit of Support. Right now as things stand, I am waiting for my wife to determine what exactly she wants. If she wants to reconcile our differences or if we should just head towards divorce. I think the wisest course of action right now would be to put on hold the whole visa process which I can do easily by not mailing the AOS package and not paying the IV fee. But at the same time, if things were to get better between us, this will add to the delay for her to come here.

This is a very screwed up time right now. I wish things were simpler. All I wanted was someone to love who would at least care a little about my feelings.
