NVC Filers - May 2012

The first time was on 30th April - our first email from the NVC. That was just the Choice of Agent request. We replied.

The second time was when they got our AOS payment - 5th May. Unsure, we replied today, to be on the safe side.

The third time was today, 7th May.

I hope I've written that out clearly now... it's so strange. :s

Oh. Then the first one must have just been them automatically generating it. The second time was probably in response to you paying the AOS fee and noticing they didn't have your DS-3032 on file (since they hadn't gotten to your email yet). It's the third time I don't know why they sent it.

And you didn't actually respond to NVC's email, right? You sent your own email, following ALL the instructions on the template? You put the specific subject line, you put the correct information in the body? You sent it to the right email address?

Just for kicks I tracked the case shipment for those of us heading to Montreal.. The package was shipped Friday and it arrived in the Montreal sort facility this morning at 0343!

Reaaly?i called this morning and they told me they will ship after all the interview is done.It it true?Did nvc told you they shiped your case?

The embassy needs your file in order to do your interview...I'd call NVC back, or even DoS, to see if your file's been sent to Montreal.

Either you misunderstood or the operator was on crack. The consulate needs your case before the interview as they won't know who the heck you are when you show up. Call up again and ask: "When was my case sent out?". They should give you a specific date.

If you need to catch a 1:30pm flight, make sure you're one of the first people at the consulate! If you arrive late, you can be there all day.

I will try to be there as early as possible even if i have to stand there from 4.am

I will try to be there as early as possible even if i have to stand there from 4.am

I'd say get there for ~6:15am. You should be good then. When I was there, I was by myself from around 6:15am when I arrived to about 6:45am when another VJ member arrived and others arrived soon after that. By 7:30am when they were opening the doors, there were about 20 other groups in line. If you get there late, then you'll be spending a lot of time waiting around to be called. If you're one of the first ones in though (like me), then you'll barely have time to sit down. I was out by around 9am, and that was after a 20 minute delay with a fingerprint issue.

You're supposed to use the day before than as the reference number. But, I didn't find anything going to Haiti. So, I tried the day before that (May 2) as the reference number and found one for Haiti. Arrived today.

Dear Sir/Madam:

We sent a follow up email to USCIS about the progression on your case. Please allow time for USCIS and NVC to process and research your case.

Yes, I triple-checked my email every time. Sent a fresh new email both times. Everything is in order and I used the template on VJ. My subject line was "DS 3032 - Choice of Agent for NVC Case Number ISLXXXXXXXXXX".

I guess I'll wait for a week and see what happens. :\

I see the shipped date is May 5th. NVC told me the case was forwarded to NVC May 4th. If NVC send it late in the afternoon, it is obvious that DHL will start the shipping on the next day ( May 5th ). What you think Saylin?
