That's their standard answer to everything! It will probably be accepted this week. Just remember that yesterday was Memorial Day in the U.S. so NVC was closed.

I'm still in the process of sending the AOS and IV packages to the NVC. I asked before about when my wife should take her medical examination. I wanted to ask a following question.

1) Can she get her medical examination done as soon as possible, for example, next couple of weeks?

2) Can she just give the medical examination facility the NVC case number and/or email letters from the NVC with the case number?

3) Or does she have to wait for an official interview letter from the NVC?

We just would like to get things done asap in case of any problems that may delay her getting the medical exam.

Saylin answered your question about this on May 24. Her answer was correct:

The medical takes place before the interview (medical results are required at the interview). But to have the medical, the interview date has to be scheduled, so you can bring the interview letter.

Yes you are right, that's what the operator told me. I hope you are right and it gets accepted this week and I hope you get your case complete soon :)

I'll answer again:

1). Only countries that allow advance medicals allow having the medical done before the interview date is scheduled. As far as I know, Indonesia is NOT one of those countries.

2). If it's not a country that allows advance medicals, no, the panel physician will not accept that. It has to be the interview letter.

3). Yes, this is your only option.

Please be patient in regards to the medical. You'll have plenty of time for it to be done.

Has anyone been able to log in to the NVC payment portal this weekend? Mine says that I cannot make payment at this time and should contact NVC. All I have is the case number and IIN so far. When I was able to log in (before Friday), it said AOS fees - Not Invoiced. I got the case number on Wednesday. Thanks!

You can't pay the AOS bill until is has been INVOICED. If you're getting an error message, I'm guessing that NVC is currently in the process of invoicing your AOS bill. Just keep checking, it should be there soon.

Like Kerry said, it won't be 20 days; that's just their standard time frame. I'm betting it will be reviewed this week ;)

Just got "sign in fail" is this case complete?

SIFs have stopped happening the last few months blink.gif They used to indicate case complete though! I'd call up NVC asap and ask!!!

9/21/11 - Married in Syria
11/16/11 - Fedex I-130
11/17/11 - Received at USCIS
11/18/11 - Text received from USCIS - papers received - sent to California for processing
11/21/11 - touched
11/22/11 - check cleared - Received NOA1 form in mail
3/9/12 - Approved!!! NOA2!!! 113 days!
3/15/12 - NOA2 received in mail
3/19/12 - NVC received - no case # yet
4/3/12 - Case number received!
4/4/12 - Paid AOS bill (in process) and completed DS-261 Agent form / also emailed request to transfer to Beirut, Lebanon for interview

Called NVC. They said June interview dates have been filled and ask me to call back in 3rd week of june to find out for july dates. :bonk:

130 for Wife

09-07-2010 - Priority Date

01-10-2012 - Upgrade from F2A to CR1

03-23-2012 - NOA-2 Email Received

04-23-2012 - NVC received

05-10-2012 - Case # received

05-11-2012 (Friday) - AOS and IV invoiced and Paid. Status "In Process"

05-14-2012 (Monday) - AOS and IV status showed "Paid"

05-14-2012 - AOS and IV packages mailed

05-15-2012 - Package Delivered.

05-21-2012 - Case Completed. (11 Days after Case # assigned)

06-07-2012 - Got Interview date assigned for July 18th @ 8AM

06-13-2012 - Medical Done

07-18-2012 - Interview Done - Approved

Thanks to all of you who have provided the insight to make this far

in this quest to reunite with our loved ones.

I can finally take a deep breath for the moment and relax.

All IV documents are in order and our case was completed today.

Phewwww!!!!!!!

Thank you Saylin and all the others that have provided the information

needed to help me make it this far.

Many blessings to you all and may we all obtain our approvals that

we are seeking.

Now to begin the wait for the interview date.......
