Part of the I-134 asks how much life insurance I have. If I fill this in, do I need to include a copy of the policy? Do I really need to include this, it wasn't on the example form that I saw on this site?

ccfoo,

If your life insurance has a cash value, and you want it to be taken into consideration, then it needs to be documented.

If you didn't see cash-value life insurance in the example, that's probably because relatively few people either have such a policy or offer it for consideration if they do have one.

Be careful following examples - they do not fit everyone's situation. One always needs to determine whether or not a particular example fits their situation.

So if I make enough money, then I don't need to report the life insurance?

ccfoo,

You need to report, and document, only what you want to be considered.

Yeah, if you already qualify based on income or savings (or whatever else) then there is no need to fill out that part. My co-sponsor did not because he qualifies based on income alone.
