The OP's fiance was also put on AP from his previous posts, so something is going on here. (as if that wasn't plainly obvious already).

Sorry to hear that but the rest of the posters said it correctly. How would she knows your house? unless you guys did webcam, you sent her few pictures, called on the phone, she called you on your phone, and so on.

Mine was asked question about the house and she answered correctly. Even the outside color something I never remember.

Agree with others. This is sad to hear, and truly sorry, but you either need more information or you're not telling us something.

I wouldn't do anything else until you know with certainty why she was made to return. It certainly wasn't for indiscriminate reasons, though the information you give doesn't add up to much. For myself, I wouldn't let my wife/fiance be sent back on a plane without raising bloody hell, scared or not; at the very least get answers. Not an indictment of your actions, just I find it odd you have no clue why she was sent back, when she was right there with you.

Don't waste your time doing anything else until you get the reasons for the denial of entry.

Agreed. With my game face on, diplomatic in demeanor and speech, but firmly requesting to speak to the head honcho.

No way in hell would I have paid for a return ticket.

It's roughly 1:00 PM Eastern -- I sure hope the OP has been burning up the phone lines seeking answers and getting to the bottom of this drama.

Yeah. I for sure would never have paid for THAT ticket.

If the alternative was to have my wife detained overnight, I would have paid immediately.

I refuse to believe that wearing a ring, calling your fiance your husband or not being fluent in each others language can be a good enough reason for a denial at POE. In my home country we wear our wedding bands on the right hand, engagement rings are rare and a ring on the left hand doesn't mean a thing. Most of my married friends don't even wear their rings after the wedding. I also know couples that call each other hubby and wifey way before they got enganged. My husband and I met in Seoul. We both love South Korea and hope to go back one day. I perfectly understand why she is embarrassed to meet her parents. I know how shy a korean girl can be when she has to speak English. Some of my husbands collegues had Korean girlfriends and the language barrier was not that big of a problem. A CBP officer should not raise an eyebrow only because someone doesn't do things the "normal" way. Their job is to face cultural diversity every day. So I think there must be something else there. I hope your fiancee is doing ok...

Sounds like my country lol. I know what you mean though, my wife is Korean American, and pride, honor and not letting your family down is a big deal in her family.

As for language barriers. While some couples might not consider it a problem, it can be a killer at a K-1 interview. If a CO finds out they don't speak the same language, or can't communicate in a common language, a visa islikely to be denied. This can easily slip past both the USCIS and the CO though as the CIS only has paperwork to go on, and the CO only interviews the beneficiary. However, if the CBP catches it at the POE, I'd imagine it could cause big trouble.

A interview upon entering is not unusual, I suggest you obtain a copy of the Immigrations officers report, cause a report

had to be written up on the interview/conservation....... Also very possible the U.S. Embassy where she was issued her

visa has been notified of the incident.....

Also contact you local Congressman/Woman and or Senator of the state you live in.....

Seems the white flag was waved rather easily

OP must've been in total disbelief at what was happening and surely caught off guard. It would've hurt like hell to know my fiancee was detained -- but a few hours of detention would've bought some time to find out what was happening.

Considering the cost it's going to take to unwind this mess, it would've been cheaper for the OP to fly to Korea and accompany his fiancee to the U.S., especially with her not speaking English.

Wow! Another popular thread of speculation because OP leaves us all hanging. These threads really get old and irritate me, but I had to jump on the bandwagon. I don't mean to sound callous though. I am concerned and have been watching this since it began. OP, you were just on an hour ago. What is going on? Shed some light. Does anything anyone is saying ring a bell or make you ponder on your situation? It is horrible, but I wish you would chime us in a bit.

This is not true. My fiancee (now wife) haven't being asked even one question!!!

However I do have to mention that CBP can refuse entry to the USA even with K-1/CR-1/IR-1 or any other Visa. Visa doesn't guaruantee admission to the US, it is an authorization to go to the US. It is up to the CBP officer to allow or deny entry.

While questions about how the house look sounds weird, I think there is more to the story.

Please check with your wife again –

So as per you, your wife gave her passport to officer and he did not ask anything just stamped her passport and let her go.

I would not believe that, first thing officer would ask is purpose of travel / visit? Once person lets them know they are on K1 / CR1 either officer would process them right there or ask them to wait until someone is available to process them.

Then they would get the envelope if on CR1 they would ask the atleast date of marriage based on which they would mark CGC or GC.

They would take the finger prints.

K1's would go to secondary to be processed.

Presumably that is where they found out she was married.

These sort of threads are not that uncommon and seem to have a therapeutic effect on the Posters replying.
