NVC Problem with Police Clearance - Help please

Hi everyone,

First post from Australia. It seems like we are close to the end here, AOS and all info has been sent to the NVC via a lawyer, yesterday however we received an email requesting that I need to have a police clearance from QLD or NSW when I live in WA. I was born in NSW but have been here my whole life. Not sure if this means they have lost the Federal Police clearance?? Has anyone experienced this kind of problem? I am worried this will delay the process further and obviously we are anxious to get our Sydney interview scheduled so we can get over to America finally! We now have a case number allocated but they said they can't close the case until they receive this information....frustrating!

Any help would be much appreciated!

A similar thing happened to me. They requested my Qld PCC even though I sent it with my packet. They said it wasn't the correct one. I called and asked to speak to a Supervisor, asked for the reason and gave my explanation. They completed my case with instructions that I take a copy of the PCC to the interview. So, call and ask to speak with a Supervisor if you don't get anywhere with the operator.

Thanks for the advice! Because we are using a lawyer, she called and they requested that I resend the DS-230 Part 1 again, no clue why. Still waiting to hear something. Seems like it is easier to call up NVC and have it adjusted than use a lawyer! Either way, our time will come eventually.
