I thought I was going to get my Bio this week cause it has been 2 weeks since I got my NOA and 1 month since they got my package.

It's taking foreeeeeeeeever!

We received the NOA with a date of may 24, a day after receipt of package. Date of receipt of NOA isn't known as our mail was held the past ten days. The envelope is already destroyed. No notice for biometrics yet.

Today done early bio and got a 551 stamp on the passport. Somehow they took my GC which will expire early August. Now will wait at least 6 more months before anything happens.

Is taking away your GC when you get a 551 passport stamp standard procedure or is there a lot of inconsistency between officers on this? Curious to know of others' experience here who have got the stamp.

Well... wow. NOA1 was in the mailbox today, 31 days after we sent in the package. This is of course after I called them up last night, only to get a Tier 2 officer who was very difficult. When I was repeating what she said slowly to make sure we were on the same page (she had a very thick accent), she kept interrupting me to say "You don't understand?" And then "That's not what I said!" So I said, "Okay, what did you say?" And she said "I don't take abuse!" so I asked for her name, because I was not the least bit angry, let alone "abusing" her, and she hung up on me (!!)

Updating our NOA1 date.

While I am here, updating Bendulichka NOA1, Indomex early bio.

To answer ACsMama's question, biometrics is dependent on the availability of your local office for appointments. I think it's way too early to be worried, if your NOA1 is June 1.

They did not take away my green card. Mine expires August 12th. I got a six month extension from June to December...i'll likely need another unless by some miracle the NOA1 shows up. But the green card remains with me. Was your expired when they stamped you?

Hi Nelson,

Please share your outcome discussion with UCIS or the walkin. Since we're traveling if we get the appointment letter while we're away do you know what the protocol is for missed appointments?

Hi Stephanie,

we are in the same boat. Mailed our package on the 16th, got our NOA in June and still have not received a bio appointment. I can only imagine that they are backed up since there webpage is still showing that they are working on I-751's from back in August of 11. I am going to try and reach out this week to UCIS and see if I can get an answer or maybe try a walk in. We shall see.

We went down to the Phoenix office this past week to try to do walk-in biometrics and couldn't get past the security guard. They said they won't take us early.

Consider doing an INFOPASS - http://www.uscis.gov...000082ca60aRCRD

especially if your GC is expiring soon. I scheduled an appointment via INFOPASS, mainly to have my passport stamped since my GC expires June 25th and I have not received the NOA that indicates my one-year GC extension. After having my passport stamped I asked the Immigration Office who extended my GC if I could try to proceed with biometrics since I'm in the office, so might as well, and she said yeah. When I tried to do a walk-in biometrics (because my original schedule is June 27), they gave an OK response so I went ahead and do my biometrics at the same time. I guess depending on how busy they are and on your situation, they will consider early appointments done prior to the original schedule.
