Hi everyone,

I hope all of you are doing great.

I have a question for you guys and hopefully you will have an answer for me.

I just received this morning my Biometrics appointment scheduled for May 8th. But I never got the NOA (not sure of the name), the letter temporarily extending my GC for 1 year. Is it normal? Should I call them?

Thanks you

Thibaut

Please update your timeline so it shows the correct information. Not only does it help you keep track but it helps everyone else on VJ with their timeline tracking as well.

You should call USCIS about it, that letter is very important especially when your green card expires that letter is the only thing that is proof of your extended stay.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

How many weeks has it been since your check was cashed?

How far are you from your Service Center? (I am one USPS day away)

I would say if it has been more than 10 business days since your check was cashed call and inquire.

I just called them.... they told me the notice was sent on April 2nd. But that seemed odd that they mailed it the exact same day as they cashed the check... what are you guys thoughts? They also told me that if I don't get it by May 3rd I will have to make an appointment at the local office and see an immigration officer so he can give me this notice.

Thanks for your help

My NOA was dated same day as the package arrived at the USCIS office. So sounds about right. They seem dated on arrival or payment.

Is the NOA the letter saying I paid (I-797)? it doesn't look like any special right? And it starts with "Your conditional resident status is extended for one year..."? Does that also mean I can travel OUT of the US? because it only says "you are authorized employment and travel." Im so stoopid! I thought it was just a receipt for the check

Everything seems to be normal now, next you go to Bio App. after that, you won't hear from them for a while &

long wait starts like 4-6 months for CSC & 8-10 months for VSC :)

One more question: should I call them to make sure it gives me the right to go to France without any issue? We still want to have a second wedding there for the whole family but I want to make sure I'll be allowed back in the US

If anything call the French Embassy and make sure they recognize it. I am sure they do.
