I met my German Frau, woman in Utila Honduras in September. We spent almost two weeks together on my sailboat and traveling. I sailed my boat from Honduras and I met her in Miami in late January of this year. We spent a month together here. I am going to Germany on the 19th of April. I won't get into the details but we hope to be married during my three week visit. All of my ducks are in a row (I think) though I don't have a job. I have a reasonable source of income at this time. We hope to be married around May 5th and then we hope that she can come to the US in August of this year. I think that we will need to use the K-3 Visa. Does anyone have advice?

No do not use the K-3 waste of time and money. You need the CR-1. Less money less time and green card on entry.

I think you are underestimating the length of time it will take to get approval for your wife to come to the US. Unless there are other circumstances I'm not aware of, it takes on average 5 months to even have a petition approved so that a visa can be processed in your partner's home country. It is, thus, in my opinion which is open to correction, unlikely you can marry in May and then be able to have your wife in the US by August, at least not if she is to come to the US on a spousal visa.

There is a voice calling, keep walking

You’re not alone in this world

Where there is faith

There is a peace like a child sleeping

Hope everlasting in He who is able...

Start by clicking on the word Guides at the top of any page her. Become a professor of the CR1 visa process. K3 is obsolete. Forget everything you read about it, particularly anything that got you thinking it would get you together faster. Think 8 to 10 months from petition filing to visa in hand and then only if you become a professor of the NVC shortcuts to use after your petition is approved.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
