Affidavits proving bona fide marriage

I'm pretty new here and am just starting to get my papers all together to send in the I-130. My husband and I have been married for 3 and a half years and we don't own anything, we never had a lease because we lived with his parents and we have no children. We do have a joint bank account so we have that going for us. My question is, since we don't have very much evidence of a bona fide marriage, how many affidavits should we get? At first I was thinking of one from an uncle of mine and one of my husband's, one from my best friend, and one from his. Is 4 enough? Also, we bought a puppy a few months before we were married, and we have had the same vet ever since, would getting an affidavit from him be a bad idea?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Wish I could give you the answer you're looking for, but I really don't know. I just had to say your post gave me a laugh because of the puppy comment though. If you get a dog lover looking at your case, I'm sure the affidavit from the Vet about you both being there for vet visits will be the perfect proof lol. I'm serious about that to.

Do not get an affidavit from your vet. That is quite possibly the worst idea ever. Seriously.

The affidavit requirement clearly state that the affidavit shoukd be from a reliable source that has INSIDE KNOWLEDGE about the validity of your relationship. Your vet most definitely does NOT fall into this caregory.

Furthermore, YOU telling someone about the validity of your relationship to someone and then getting an affidavit from them also counts for absolutely nothing.

For example, an affidavit from your friend who attended your marriage ceremony, and is otherwise unaware of the kind of relationship you possess with your husband holds no water at all.

However, an affidavit from say your father-in-law who was aware of his son's relationship with you long before you decided to marry, and can state as such. Ir a close friend ho not only attended ylur marriage, but was also actively involved with you long before you were married, maybe he went out on a few dates with you both and actively knows you two were an actual "couple" This is the kind of affidavit USCIS is looking for.

As for how many? Quality is always anove quantity. I sent two affidavits. One from my father and one from my father-in-law, botj of whom were well aware of my relationship with my wife and exactly how it came to be.
