This whole process becomes very emotional. It is easy to lose your objectivity and your cool. I have been burned and annoyed by USCIS so I know they can act unprofessionally but I don't think the interview was as antagonistic as you might have perceived it to be based on what I read in this thread. However staying calm no matter how much it seems the interviewer is toying with you is key. I know sometimes easier said than done.

Goce, VJ is a great place for you to vent your frustrations, and we're here for you. So keep venting if it makes you feel any better. We'll lend you emotional and moral support as we all stand on common ground.

But I tend to agree with LinaMD, don't lose your cool. There's an old saying..."Don't drink the soup until it's cooked". So perhaps before you go "firing" the USCIS officer, wait and see what happened. If he/she asked the same question 10 times, and got the same answer 10 times, well then she has no inconsistencies to base any fraud on.

In our experience, when my wife and I went to her AOS interview, they did sit us together, but most of the questions were directed at me (I'm the USC sponsor). The 1 question that she asked my wife, my wife answered it wrong! (The question was how old was I when we met). Anyway, our interview could have been perceived by someone else as "hostile", but I saw it as nothing other than "Professional". So there's the matter of perception, it's how you look at it, and from what angle. Of course none of us was there to witness this, but neither were you. So even you might not have seen the interview the same way your wife did.

Now just because the I/O said the interview is over, doesn't mean that you are denied. May be the I/O too, lost her patience, slammed the file shut and thought "OK, what the hay, that's enough, I'll let it pass".

So hang in there Goce, and lets see what happens. We're behind you.

thanks my friend !! do u know how long its gonna take for us to get that letter???

You said they asked you the same ten questions over and over... do you mind explaining a little more as to what they were?

Please note it was the USCitizen Spouse (female) that was asked these 10 questions, over and over.

The LPR (male, sitting in the lobby) never talked with the Immigration Officer, was never interviewed that day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Groce, in our case, which was a fairly simple aos. We got an immediate answer, the noa came a few days later. But you really should share your timeline with us so we have a better understanding of what's going on, it's unusual for you to be married for 6 years and still haven't removed conditions. At this stage of the game you should be applying for citizenship.

This ridiculous process of getting green cards reminds me of The Trial by Kafka. Bureaucracy for Bureaucracy's sake. It is also absurd how people can hop over the border and get free health care and college tuition via the Dream Act but we basically sign out lives away with the Affidavit of Support and can't even get the time of day.

I think it's quite rewarding to immigrate illegally. Eliminate those rewards and may be this country can concentrate on the immigrants that are trying to do things the right way.

May be the US should have a new card, like in soccer, a yellow card....you get one as an illegal, and it lets you do stuff..(what stuff? I don't know), and if you get a red-card (again, like soccer) you get ejected from the game.... what purpose would that serve? once again, I don't know...But it sure would make the Green-card holders feel a little better knowing that they're ahead of the yellow-card and the red-card?
