While I have been reading these posts, it occurs to me that you should feel proud. You have just participated in an opportunity to represent your family, and the country that you came from. In these trying times, we Americans sometimes have to go through the discomfort of analysis, if you will, to contribute to the entire good of our country. As an example, little children, people in wheel chairs, and well respected people are being searched by TSA agents, and in order to just open a bank account, we have to jump through a number of requirements. I remember when a child could open a savings account at a bank, and everyone was happy to help. Not any more. We must protect our country! Many people who have received their citizenship in this country have gone on to betray us by killing other Americans, or allowing others to use their identification in order to come into our country illegally.

Feel proud, my new American friend. Patriotism will flourish when we act as one.

I thought about that too, since the IO during the interview asked me about my religion and if my wife, her children and i practice i. I dont think he should ask about the religion, my wife said that too. What does the religion has to do with naturalization? i dont know. I have some moroccan friends who went thru the naturalization process, none asked them about their religion and if they practice it.

Thank you everyone for your replies, support and wishes. My best wishes for you all

Why would you say that?

Honestly it's kind of obvious these days. Stereotyping is in enforced here.

Keep in mind how much they'd like to pick out EVERY, SINGLE, ONE of immigration violators but let's face it, they don't have the money, people resource and time to do it.

I mean look at my ROC case, it's been 9+ freaking months and it's still PENDING. I filed my N-400 hoping they can speed that ROC up.

Most Terrorists on the watchlist are Muslim radical fanatics. I Still Claim your real name is a match on the watchlist. There's a terrorist out there with your same name.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

My first name is a common arabic/islamic name, my last name is not. There's one Moroccan Muslim family with the same last name, who lives in the same city i came from, the other family who has the same last name is a Moroccan Jewish family that lives way far in the North of Morocco. I dont think it's my name, as why then it didnt come up during the AOS or ROC? or even during the biometrics which i had done last January after applying for N400. I had biometrics on 01/09/12 and they sent me the interview letter on 01/20/12, that was fast i think. We all know that they send the fingerprints and info to the FBI after we go for our biometrics appointments, so if there was something to do with my name being same as a terrorist's it would take forever for them to send me the interview letter, i mean everything was good and clear about me that i got it fast. We dont know what was the reason, i didnt mind them coming, they can come everyday if they want and it's ok with me. It's just the experience with the IO during the interview. he wanted to see my wallet, he asked for my bank card. He didnt give me time to ask anything after giving me the RFE, in fact he was by the door waitting for me to stand up and leave. What if i had all what was in the RFE document? he didnt ask me if i had them or not before making his decision. i was pulling documents from our household when he already printed the RFE and then i saw him standing by the door. My wife told me to file a complaint against him, i really hope that the interview was recorded.

I dont think they think it's an immigration fraud, as like i said before, i had my 10 years GC 2 years ago, and i could have waitted just another year to file based on 5 years residency. They know that if i left my wife the same day i got my 10 years GC, nothing would happen to me '' immigration-wise''. I mean i could still have the 10 years GC and i could still apply for naturalization easily. I barely go to the mosque one time every week, and i know a couple Morocco Muslims that i ve not seen since the end of last year. Although going to the mosque and being with Muslims shouldnt be a red flag, terrorism doesnt have a religion, there are terrorists who are christians or jewish... but that doesnt mean every christian and jew should be a suspect. :ot2: Whatever the reason was i'm not worried, at least i know that they are working on my file and it's not just sitting somewhere in the office. :D

It's true that a terrorist can be of any religion. But it's also true that people stereotype others. Just the way black guys are suspected more to be criminals. I think it comes from the tendency of people of that religion or race to do certain things.
