Hello VJ'ers,

I have a question on how to answer #32 of the DS-156 form. It asks "Do you intend to work in the US? yes/no, If yes, provide address of US employer.

My fiance does intend to work here, but not until after marriage and once we have obtained correct status to allow her to work, so therefore she does not have an employer. Do I answer no or yes? I do not want to answer no, and in 6 months or so when she applies for a job get bitten by immigration saying "Hey, you said you weren't going to work!"

Please help!

The DS 156 is used for multiple visas and this question is not particualrly applicable to the K-1. You can answer "Yes, with permission" and answer "unknown" for the employer OR just enter "NA, K-1 Visa"

Yes. enter "unknown" for school. It is not a question applicable to the K-1 so it really does not matter how you answer it.
