Oh,God!

His name is Jesus-the nastiest person ever.Got him few times.It was like I am calling his house at ,well,around 3 am,waking up all of his family members including elderly parents and newborns.That is how he sounded.Terrible person!

...two funny thoughts. 1 - "Oh God! his name is Jesus!" That just sounds funny to me :) and 2 - he sure doesn't live up to his name does he? :)

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

I'm calling NVC at 4:35pm est. eastern standard time and see if we get a CC today, hopefully Kellys gone home by then :whistle: ! Also for the record, NVC updates there files at 4:30pm est. :thumbs:

I would agree with this. I looked back at the emails I've received from the NVC the past month and nearly all of them came within an hour of 4:30pm est.

06/10/11 - Married

USCIS: (224 days)

07/22/11 - Mailed I-130 petitions for wife and step-daughter

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

02/28/12 - Responded to RFE for both(received by CSC on 2/29)

03/02/12 - NOA2 for both(received hardcopy on 3/8)

NVC: (37 days)

03/12/12 - NVC Received both

03/21/12 - NVC case number and IIN received for both & Emailed Choice of Agent for both

03/23/12 - AOS bill invoiced & paid for both

03/26/12 - AOS bill shows paid & AOS Packets mailed for both

03/27/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for wife (sent another for step-daughter via email and express mail)

03/28/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for step-daughter & IV bill invoiced & paid for wife

03/29/12 - IV bill shows paid for wife & IV bill invoiced & paid for step-daughter

03/30/12 - IV bill shows paid for step-daughter & IV Packets mailed for both

04/04/12 - IV Packets reviewed. Checklist issued for Divorce Decree for my wife. Step-daughter's was accepted and her case closed

04/10/12 - Divorce Decree accepted after supervisor review & wife's case closed

04/16/12 - Expedite requested for both cases due to NVC error

04/18/12 - Expedite request approved for both cases and sent to Santiago Embassy

Embassy: (15 days)

04/24/12 - Embassy received both cases from NVC

04/25/12 - Wife went to Embassy for document review. Interview date assigned for both cases.

04/26/12 - Medical Exam for both. Result - approved.

05/07/12 - Interview date for both. Result - approved!

05/09/12 - Received both Visas

05/16/12 - POE Atlanta

Yeah,I know it sounded weird to me when I re-read it,but that was exactly how it formed in my brain :bonk:

09/28/2011- Service Request Reply(extensive background check,allow 6 months...blah-blah..)

10/07/2011- RFE(4 pages)

11/15/2011- RFE reply sent back to USCIS

12/05/2011- reply for RFE showed up in the system (took them 20 days to locate and input in the system...lucky us...)

01/11/2012- NOA2(urrrrraaaaa!!!!)

NVC

01/23/2012-case received(took 12 days...waiting for the case #)

01/27/2012-case # received(but wrong Embassy assigned...has to change)

02/01/2012-invoices are e-mailed to both of us by NVC

02/07/2012-invoices are paid(had to wait due to the wrong assignment of the embassy )

02/14/2012-both packgs are sent in

02/29/2012-checklist for a missing copy of passport(not missing in reality,but either wait 20 days for a review or send it in again,so we sent it in...)

03/09/2012-case complete( could have taken less ,but well..who cares it is complete now!!!)

Kat is also very good. Brooke was abrupt until I confirmed some stuff and got her laughing - after that, she ROCKED! Waldo was robotic but polite and efficient.

Hi Everyone

So my husband has hired a lawyer to do the process for us, which I am ok with. I have been keeping an eye on the whole process but I think she is messing up now.... she is filing the DS 230 instead of the DS 260 Is this form going to be accepted or what???? Do NOT want to go all the way to Montreal to find out she messed up....help

It depends on if the lawyer is doing electronic processing with NVC or not. EP is optional for Montreal. Most do it because it's more efficient.

If she's snail mailing packages in, then she would use the DS-230. IF she's emailing, she's doing it wrong!

Ohhhh Ok Thank you for your reply sheeshkabelle....she is doing snail mail I just thought it was mandatory now for the 260....yes I agree electronic would be a lot more efficient and if i was still waiting on all this in Canada I would be freaking out about it, but they have allowed me a 3 month stay in the states so the waiting isnt stressing me anymore :D

So I'm sitting here playing with numerous booking sites and airline sites trying to find good prices from Knoxville, Tennessee to either Winnipeg or Grand Forks, North Dakota.

(reason being our SUV is in Grand Forks)

It's almost $300 cheaper to fly to Winnipeg instead of Grand Forks. That is really odd! The cheapest ticket I have found to Winnipeg is $311 with taxes and fees. I haven't' seen a plane ticket that cheap in YEARS!
