Quick quesiton: i recieved an email from NVC requesting me to send an immigrant visa application Part 1 for my husband. I called the NVC because i had just sent my IV packet and was delivered yesterday. The lady explained to me that it is not unusual because they just recieved the packet and that the computer automatically generates the letters. Is this normal or has anyone experienced this? i am scared I dont want my marriage certificate and my husbands birth certificate and all these other documents missing.

It's most likely just a false checklist. It happens a LOT with NVC.

Once my spouse gets to the US with her CR-1 visa, she gets her social security and Green Card in the mail. How long does she have to wait if she wants to travel back to Colombia? Let say, we would like to spend Christmas with our Family in Colombia. Would that be possible? or are there any restrictions as far as a certain amount of time she has to wait before she can leave the country for vacation?

@Saylin: Have you gone back to Canada since you came to the States for the first time? or do you have to wait until you Remove Conditions in order to travel?

Thanks!

As soon as she goes through POE and gets the stamp in her passport, she can turn around and fly right back to Columbia if she wanted. So, going back for Christmas is 100% possible. Just take note of the dates as it'll be asked about on the ROC and for naturalization (if she applies for it).

And I personally haven't gone back to Canada. Not because I couldn't legally or whatnot, I just haven't had the time, money, etc. I am going back this June though for a week.

Definitely don't need to wait until ROC to travel. Like I said, as soon as she gets that stamp in her passport, she can travel back.

My AOS and IV bills now appear as paid. Time to make sure I've got everything together for the packets and take it to the attorney. This might take me a few weeks because I want it to be perfect, even though at the interview they are going to tell him he just needs a waiver anyways :/

Oh well, another step down! XD

And I haven't read the last few pages but if anyone got a case number, aos or iv invoice, or case complete, congrats!
