So the NVC operator just confirmed that my case left for the embassy yesterday!!!!!

HOORAY!!! Congrats!!! :D

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

04/07/2014 - NOA1 Date

05/07/2014 - Biometrics in Charlotte, NC

11/05/2014 - APPROVED! Citizenship in 5 months!

A little off the topic question here. I have been using Skype and Oovoo to video call my wife in the US but lately have been having too much trouble with video clarity and the voice cutting a lot as well and a delay in the sound as well. Does anybody know of a better video calling software. Tried yahoo messenger also yesterday in desperation but the video sucks.

It sounds like you or your wife is having internet broadband issues.

Try unplugging all your internet hardware. Modem and or routers for both of you. Plug them back in after about a minute or so. After they all boot back up, run skype or oovoo and see if that improves the call quality.

I'm trying to not be hyper about it LOL.... Trav just got the official expedite approval letter in the mail today - sent me a scan of it. It's pretty - may frame it! :D

Congrats!! I wanted to know also if they got my file at the embassy. I called them yeserday and they said they have not received it from NVC as yet. So not sure whats the time line as to when they send it....

Interesting, it seems like NVC may be taking longer to send out cases to the Embassies now too. The Embassy just got my husband's case yesterday then called him and changed his interview date because it fell on a National Holiday :bonk:

Be HYPER about it, be EXCITED. If you do, the date will come quicker!! :Dyes.gif

And I'd frame it ;) I still have the little number stub you get at the interview (got C1, meaning I was first). I'm still considering framing it laughing.gif
