Always worth a shot! Keep in mind though, Montreal is nowhere near as fast as Chile laughing.gif And as far as a I know, less responsive.

Have you called DOS yet today?

Yeah, I'm sure because there's less activity there, compared to Canada for example, then expedite requests probably have a better chance of being approved. Good luck!

Keep in mind, if you're contacting the embassy in Haiti, it is alright if you email them in French. It doesn't have to be in English.

Yes but they would much consider the USC request than the beneficiary

LOL...clearly they're not :P I called earlier this morning. My file is still pending. SIGH. I've also contacted the congressman. Yesterday I was told my file isn't even in Montreal yet even though LAST WEEK apparently it was so...guess pending is progress?:bonk:

But your documents that you sent to NVC were digital... So, it should have been instant blink.gif Unless they're waiting for your physical file that was submitted at USCIS...

Gotta love the mysterious-ness of this whole immigration process headbonk.gif

Wait till Saylin gets to USCIS and NVC. I'ma gonna clear the entire thing up devil.gif

They accepted mine, no problem - and I'm the Canadian...Travis had nothing to do with it...well, ok maybe a little - he and his parents contacted the congressman after I did (and I think they made more of the difference there...)

I'm pretty sure I have to be a US citizen to work at those places (government job and all), so it'll be at least another 3 years :P

And yeah, doesn't make much sense... Maybe your files are in the St. Lawrence River :P

If they give you problems, just file another complaint devil.gif

And yeah, still not sure if I want to become a US citizen yet, but if I need to to be able to work at either of those places, I might just do it laughing.gif First, I need to finish my programming degree so I'd actually know how to do things over there! :P My first order of business will be making sure their websites work in ALL browsers, not just Internet Explorer headbonk.gif

LOL...DON'T tempt me...I would be more than happy to oblige with another complaint :P:innocent:

Would fixing their systems to work in all browsers be an easy fix? How much longer on your programming degree anyway? :)

Hehe devil.gif

And with basic webpages, it's usually just an additional line in the HTML that fixes it to work with various browsers. Usually it's the other way around though, making things work in IE. Not sure if it's the same for making it work for stuff besides IE. But, they're using more than just HTML, so I don't know how hard it would be for those. But nothing too difficult, I'm sure. And I still have one year left for my Programming AND Web Design degree. Going for two degrees :D

Yes but they would much consider the USC request than the beneficiary

In your case it would be much better for the request to come form your wife, the USC, as she has to show why she needs you in the US.

Trav & Shell's case is different as their case was a major screw up and delayed through no fault of their own.

You are right...and the screw up was mostly with my personal information, so that probably had some bearing...didn't think of that!
