Apparently this is the case since I am still waiting -___- oh joy.

Remember, how they have the package, but won`t tell you if it`s even being received untill it is really being reviewed? So,I am thinking, they schedule it all the month long, but only make it available to "the public"(us in this case)like second week

or their system gets updated only second week

or not all the operators have an access to it(no,that`s not it)

Anyways,it screwing my head up...I `ve seen lots of cases being scheduled first, third and even last week of the month...can`t wait till the 16th...

No they can really tell you as soon as it has been scheduled. And then you receive an email within a day with the appointment letter.

Maybe they receive the embassies availability schedules every 2nd week, but they assign dates as long as it's not full. Just a thought.

Moving over to April thread. Hoping for a case complete this week!

Just something to make you all laugh...

This whole process is getting to be so much that last night I had a dream that we got a checklist from NVC. The checklist was because we didn't include how long my husband's steps are when he walks. NVC wanted his walking stride measured in feet and inches.

I woke up laughing.....

I give you an A++! And an A++ for expediting your case as soon as you got a case number yes.gif

*starts packing a carry-on for flight to NVC* I shall search the depths of NVC for both your invoices. By tonight, you will both have them yes.gif

Saylin the Spreadsheet Sensei Superhero? laughing.gif

True. It might not take me as long as I think. So, I'll use that extra time to get those case numbers assigned to everyone in here that's waiting on that yes.gif If you see in the news tomorrow that a girl was thrown in jail for infiltrating NVC, that'd be me :Plaughing.gif

Ok, seriously, I'm like this reading from pages 14-24 -->   i

I'll contribute to the 'bail Saylin out of jail fund'

I'll contribute to this fund too laughing.gif

<--- Has a new member title laughing.gif

You well deserve it for following instructions! good.gif

Yea my husband tells me that since immgration process started. I've mastered the ability to do housework and still keep my eye on the computer screen! LOL

They definitely don't wait until the second week to "release" it. Mine was scheduled during the fourth week and I found out that day, during the fourth week. And, the same applies to their system only being updated during the second week. It can't be true as I found out during the fourth week.

What they say is a LIE. Just accept it. They schedule interviews all month long.

How long does it usually take before you get an NVC case number? I called today (2 weeks since i got my I-130 approval) and they told me that someone was just starting to process it and they couldn't see anything yet and to call back in a few weeks. Does it usually take that long to get a case number?

It's currently taking about 3 weeks from I-130 approval to get a case number assigned. Yes, it takes that long. You have to remember, NVC is dealing with HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of cases. It takes time to input every single case.
