Using MAIDEN NAME in NBI clearance even when married

I am a married Filipina. I have used my MAIDEN name in all of my documents even after getting married back in 2005. This is allowed by our law here in the Philippines. I have not encountered any problems related to this until today.

I tried to get an NBI clearance this morning. They informed me that their system does NOT allow a married woman to use her maiden name. If she were to choose her maiden name to appear on the certificate, SINGLE will appear under civil status.

If I choose MARRIED to appear under civil status, the surname of my husband will appear with my name which I think will also cause problems since I have never used his name.

May I please seek advice on this before I apply for a visa? Thank you very much!

I NEVER used my husband's name. I only used my maiden name in all of my documents. That's the problem.

You might find the same problem at the DFA trying to get a passport. We had to accept the fact that whatever they decided, that's what my wife's name would be, as far as the Philippines government was concerned.
