NVC will take about a month or two (depending on how prepared you are with the packages). And then it's about two months from case completion at NVC to the interview in Montreal, so about 3-4 months from now.

Oh this is discouraging. I didn't want this leg to also take 5 months. I am so badly waiting for my NOA2 and it just keep on getting delayed. I was hoping to just breeze through with electronic processing and have interview scheduled within 3 months of getting to NVC. Lets see how long this whole process takes. I am dreading AP after the interview also.

I doubt it takes that long. By the time you get to NVC, if you have all ur documents ready to be shipped out, I think you can easily get a case complete from NVC in a month to a month and half. And then of course, getting an interview date will vary from country to country.

If you have all the packages ready to go (and absolutely perfect, so you don't get checklists), it won't take 5 months from NOA2 to interview. You can get through NVC in about a month if you're prepared. And like I said before, it's only 2 months from case complete at NVC to interview at Montreal.

Are you expecting AP? Why?

That shouldn't put you into AP for long, if you even get put into AP. I had a friend who was in Canada for a work visa, a citizen of Argentina I believe, and if I remember correctly, wasn't put into AP at all. If anything, they'll just run a namecheck. Nothing as intensive as AP in Middle Eastern and North African countries.
