Received RFE for Photos

Hello,

I just received the RFE for I-129F requesting for the passport size photos of myself and my husband who is the beneficiary. When I sent my application, I included the photos with the names written on the back and in a small ziplock bag. Why is the USCIS asking for information already submitted?

Did anyone else experience the same situation?

Could be it got lost. I would just submit it again. Hopefully it is the only issue, and you will get your approval shortly

I got an RFE for things I know were included. I think some times things get lost or misplaced. Could be they did not meet the specs, wrong size, face percentage too much or too little, wrong back ground color. Make 100% sure they meet the designated specifications for USA passport photos and resend them.

Why not just ignore the request? You're seeking an IR1 or CR1 visa. The I-129F will not assist you in accomplishing this. If you wish to respond, don't worry about the why. Things get lost and/or overlooked regularly.

Thanks all for your responses. I do not have any problem submitting it again but I don't have the same exact photos I submitted. I need to retake the pictures and submit. Will that be ok?

Sure. In the meantime, if you get an approval notice for your I-130, don't waste the postage replying to the RFE on the I-129F. It cannot legally be approved AFTER the I-130.

Thanks for your reply. I will just send the photos again tomorrow since my I-130 hasn't been approved yet.

In the same boat. Status of my case (online: USCIS) my fiance will be receiving this 'Request for Evidence' notice. Relieved to hear some of the reasons why you'd get the notice. Not a big deal. Stuff happens on their end, and sometimes yours.

Happy Journey!!
