After NOA2, does it become very country specific?

Hi all,

I really hoped I could read other posts and read the guides on my own, without the need to bother you with my questions, however....

I realize that after the NOA2, things start to split somewhat, since we're not all dealing with USCIS anymore, but our specific embassies and their requirements. But here are my issues:

1. The guide does outline what I assume are the basics, documents applicable to everyone.

Yet, I didn't see birth certificates, police certificates, and things like that listed, which I thought everyone had to include. Is there a reason? Please help direct me to whatever I am missing....

2. Also, the guide states to include originals of what we sent in with the I-129F application. Does this include the boarding passes, tickets, things like that? I would really rather not part with my originals, but if I have to, I guess I will do that.

I assume that everything that I need to send my fiance and bring to the interview will be stated in my packet 3? Is this true?

Answers to all or any of these things will be greatly appreciated!!

A lot of what you want to know can be found if you click the links atop any VJ page: Embassy Info, and Reviews: Embassy. This will be very helpful for you. :)

Also, visit the appropriate Regional Subforum (go down the main list of forums) and read the threads that are appropriate for your country of interview. If you have questions afterwards, people with experience will be reading your regional subforum and will be right there to help you.

Edited to add: You can also find information on the website of the appropriate U.S. embassy or consulate itself.

Alyssa,

Go to the embassy portion of VJ and go to Paris. The documentation is pretty clear what you will need.

Paris is not hard to get through and the interview is not difficult. You just have to have all your papers in order.

The interview will be a breeze.

PM me if you have any other questions. We just went through the process.

The process is the same, HOW each consulate handles it is different. Now is the time (actually before mailing the petition was the time, but now will have to suffice) to check the website for the consulate you are using and download their packet of forms and instructions for the interview.
