Hi All,

We're a few months from ROC, and wanted to see if any mena ppl have filed recently. If so, what proof did you provide and how did the process go for you?

Hi,

I filed at the beginning of the month and the hubby has his biometrics appt. at the beginning of next month.

We included:

-copy of his green card (front and back)

-letter from the bank attesting to how long we have had our joint checking acct

-Joint Federal taxes 2009, 2010, 2011

-Joint CA state taxes 2010, 2011

-A wedding invitation addressed to both of us showing our joint address

-copy of our IRAs showing that we are each others' beneficiaries

-copy of my 403b showing him as my beneficiary

-2 affidavits: 1. from a mutual friend of ours who has known us since we met 2. from my mother (who we live with)

I used the template that is available here under forms. Let me know if you have any questions

We just applied last August and were approved in January.

We sent:

- pictures of us from recent trips and of our baby

- our baby's birth certificate

- copies of insurance policies with both our names (health, auto)

- copies of mailings in both our names, including utility bills

- copies of bank statements (that has both our names)

- copies of our retirement accounts and life insurance showing the other as beneficiaries

- 1040's from the past couple of years

We didn't have an interview, were just approved. (same with AOS, no interview). It was pretty painless. But took longer than AOS.
