I remeber reading something on here before about special deals for people first time emigrating? Does anyone have any more information on this?

Not to be Negative but I never seen that. Airlines are "For Profit". Whats worse is the increase in Fuel Prices passed-on to the Consumer. Winter months do help for a Flight but this is not Winter but Spring.

The best you can do is book a Month in Advance for the best deal and a LOCK-IN a Seat. That will Save you money. But, hard question as to Book a Seat without Visa in Hand.

The only place this seems to exist is if you are going to the USA from the Philippines as an immigrant. It seems some Philippine airlines may offer some type of discount but that is all.

Ya - the only time I have ever seen " immigration flight discounts " questions and postings it has come from the Philippine forums.

Inky, I Only see it a Sales to the Customer to make a Commission making them think they got a good deal. The Only trick is to do homework on different Carriers and Book in Advance.

There is No such thing as A Immigrant Plane Flight. If I owed that Plane, I would be out of Business in a Month.

Someone show me that where-as there is such a Airline. And if they did, It would be mis-leading. Search Rates by different Carriers and book ahead in advance with Visa in hand. The best DEALS are Non-Refundable you know.

This has been one of my hobbies during our K-1 wait time (marinade time???). But, yesterday, I found one of the best deals for 2 weeks in advance including insurance to change the flight from AeroMexico. Look at EVERY site--Orbitz, TripAdvisor, LonelyPlanet, Expedia, individual airlines, and check each potential Point Of Entry, too.

For us, I don't want my beloved to deal with the Miami airport. The reputation of the folks there is much less than pristine and they are so overwhelmed that problems of some kind seem to be experienced by almost everybody. Here where I live, Houston, the airport has a good reputation and I want his POE to be the smoothest experience possible. I especially don't want him stressed about having to catch another flight after going through the airport "interview".

Yes...

** these sites are all good.. just compare prices and check the rules.

** Also if a return fare is cheaper you can use that and throw away the second half.

** Visa in hand before booking

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Usually the best prices are found on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This is when the airlines place their deals and the other airlines usually match. Check on websites like Cheapoair.com. Also book your flight about 4 weeks in advance on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Avoid booking on holidays. I did this for my fligh to the Philippines and got a great deal for this past January 10th.

If you choose too close to your targeted date you will pay more and if you book too far ahead you will also pay more. To get an idea of what the prices are just daily monitor the prices from www.Cheapoair.com. Play around with the dates you wish to travel and you will see what I mean. Then you have something to compare to.
