Update: Tracking has been updated. March 7th 1 hour after customer service phone call: Arrived at Laguna Niguel unit - and "attempted delivery - notice left" If I remember correctly, this is the standard for the PO box delivery...

Phew.

So, by the way, when I called the post office 1800 number they said that "although there is no guarantee for the timing of delivery...." they would initiate an investigation after only 5 Post office business days to look for your mail if tracking wasn't working. So, glad that I was at least paying attention there, because I am not sure it's coincidence that it was suddenly updated.

Hope to get our G1145 notifications and see that money leave my account soon! (Strange how we like to see our balances go down under some circumstances, huh...)

Check on line with USPS enter our Certified receipt number, make an info pass appointment,( take a copy of everything with you and a new check if necessary-a last resort). Trust it will show up. I just mailed a I 130 for wifes son on Saturday, showed delivery to uscis on Monday. Trip? No judgments, never wait till the end to file anything with the government, it just causes too much stress.

You have 30 days before your trip abroad, right? I think you still have plenty of time to receive the NOA. Don't panic.

When I sent my AOS package priority mail, it took 2 weeks for them to scan it in. Like everyone is saying, it is probably just sitting there in the mail room waiting to be scanned.

We were in the waiting game too. The Embassy signed for it, the return receipt name was illegible. We waited about 30 days and still no word! Just as we started to copy everything they found it and processed it.

It's so interesting how it's funny when other people squirm and freak out over stuff like this (OMG the mail is late!/obsessive tracking, etc), but then when you're the one in the hot seat - suddenly - not so funny!

I'm laughing at myself now, except when I remember no NOA1....yet....Argh.

I think this feeling would be extra intense with ROC, due to the consequences of late filing!

I am already anxious about it and I have another year before I need to file!!

I am the one who sent duplicate I-129F due to the very same reason and indeed, I'm going through some unneccessary hassle now. My biggest mistake was not going to the USPS with my certified mail receipt and telling them to stop the delivery and return it to the sender - me. I have learned a very valuable lesson: never send immigration paperwork with USPS. They're way too unreliable. Use UPS or Fedex.

With that being said, I suggest you wait. If you really must take action, that would be my plan:

- First thing in the morning, go to USPS and have someone put a return order on your mail. That would only apply to certified mail.

- Send in a copy with UPS or Fedex. Attach a new check. Do not issue a stop payment order on the old one.

- Monitor both packages. With UPS you will be sure that your package gets delivered in timely manner.

Now, there's two favorable ways this can unwind:

- USPS updates your package online as returned to sender. UPS will deliver the package within next few days.

- USPS updates your package online as delivered, despite your order. Then you go to UPS pronto and make them return the package to sender.

The worst case scenario, your UPS package is delivered. Few days afterwards, your USPS package gets delivered despite the order (which should not happen).

This is what happens when you file two identical petitions with USCIS. Based on personal experience:

Hey guys, final update: NOA arrived in the mail yesterday. No G1145 notifications! Really bummed about that. But would rather have the paper, I guess!
