K3 is virtually unobtainable. Follow the CR1 visa guide. That's the currently available spouse visa for newlyweds. If you marry and file for a spouse, think in terms of 8 to 10 months from filing to interview.

All that said, it's probably a very bad idea. AP will clear sooner than that and if it clears in a negative way, you need to know why. Withdrawing the case will keep you from knowing why until the same AP starts and finishes at the end of the spouse visa process. You'll still be dealing with the same immigrant visa unit in Delhi.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

If you are or when you are ready to file and proceed through I130 (CR1) after getting married, you need to get the NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from American Citizen services section of the Embassy.... Some of the marriage registrar (where you go and register your marriage) will ask for it.

NOC will have your name, DOB, passport number, her name, DOB, her father's name. (more info is better at NOC)It will help you BIG WAY during your CR1 visa category immigration petition.

Whatever AP issues are holding up the K-1 are not going to disappear if you decide to get marry to pursue another visa. Starting over could essentially means starting AP all over.

Agreed. Have you senator do an inquiry as sometimes AP has finished, they just haven't bothered to print the visa and place in your passport yet.
