usem insisting to wait for packet 3..what to do?

hi everyone!

pls advise.. My fiance paid the visa fee today at BPI around 9 am Manila time later in the afternoon around 5-6 pm he tried to call USEM to schedule an appoinment with the live operator. But he was told that he has to wait for the eligibility paper or the packet3 from the USEM prior to scheduling an appoinment. He was also told that our case is already in manila but still under evaluation to know if his eligible to inetrview. Besides to this he was also instructed to wait for the eligibility paper prior to do the medical

In which i thought from everybody's experience here at VJ that as soon as we get pur MNL case no. Pay the Visa fee we can schedule the appointment?

Pls help on what else can we do?

your fiance can try to schedule online. as long as you have your manila case number you can go for your medical. i never received my packet 3 from usem and im here in the US since december.

me too, i never received such packet from them and im already here.. Philwithlove is right.. You do the online scheduling, if you success with the appointment then ur case is already in the system.. if not try again after 2-5 days.. for me its better to do the online scheduling, coz my experience with the call center is not good.. they know nothing about our case..!!

And with medical, you can start with it as long as you have the case #..

Once you have your MNL number you can get your physical. But until the USEM is done processing the file in Manila you will need to wait before making the interview. Think about it this way, they will interview you once they have the paperwork done. They will not want to schedule an interview until they know the paperwork is done.

get the date case left NVC, track on DHL, call USEM, once entered in system then schedule. NVC recieved my case by monday the March 4th left NVC March 5th. Anne already paid BPI yesterday and sent me the reciept info. I am now just waiting for DHL and USEM.

The embassy has a script they go by, but just like many Gov't agencies it is outdated. The clerk that told you that has probably been working there since Moby ####### was a minnow, and does not realize they don't mail packet 3 and you can schedule on-line.

That was why I got so torqued and an individual that shall remain nameless, a few weeks ago, becuse we are here to help each other succeed despite a government bureaucracy, not cut and paste there outdated regs.

Hello everyone!! We finally made it! Was able to schedule our appointment without Packet 3 on our hands! Thanks for everybody's advice. You guys are such a big help!!!

first pay the visa fee at BPI then aftr 4-24hrs go online for scheduling

do u have your nvc case no? if you do u can do ur scheduling online much better than calling the usem, ;

then theyre adviced is to do the medical 1-2 wks before the interview

if you have your Manila case number. you can have your medical anytime as long as you dont have your period. st. luke's advice is 7 days before or after your period. i mean if you are a girl. lol
