I love her very much and at the moment the situation is that she gave her son to the adoption house and went back ten days later to get custody. They had an inspector come to her house to evaluate if she is capable of supporting him. The problem is that she is not working and her father refuses to help her which leads me to believe that he would be better off getting adopted. Even if I wanted to help I cant because we are not married and I an not a brazilian citizen. She is very sad depressed and upset with all of this and she is now blaming herself for what happened which is not the case. This situation is very traumatic but I can not give up on her after all we have worked towards. It is crazy what we do for love but I just called immigration today and long behold my case is in the process of getting approved now after all of this madness.

Well maybe you can adopt the baby after she's here and married...Although it might be difficult to go back on the adoption agreement... Not sure... All the best though and hope you hear something soon on your approval.

I am not trying to put the cart before the horse here but i am gathering all the information i can at this point for immigration purposes. As far as her baby goes i can not help in any way except to petition him to come with her. The biggest problem right now for her is she is in the process to see if the adoption house will even give her custody back to her son because she gave her son to the adoption house the day he was born then went back ten days later. This will be very difficult because she is not working and her father refuses to help financially as well. It is a big mess but everything always finds a way to work itself out. All of my family and friends have been very supportive and encourage me not to give up if we still love each other very much. At this point it is taking it one day at a time and going from there.

Happy new year everyone!

Just a little update here, my interview went very well, took less than 10 minutes, I was approved. This is truly a big blessing gift for my fiancé and me. We are going to get married in January 2013. I can't wait to be with the love of my life after several months of waiting patiently. We both are very excited.

Timeline

Today has been truly devastating in all ways possible. I have finally found out the complete truth as to why my fiance has acting the way she has for so long. Back in January she went to a rave with some friends and was drinking heavily and ended up at a bar afterwords. While in the bar she was drinking straight out of a vodka bottle and became severely drunk. One of her friends had taken advantage of her that night and had relations and she has no memory of anything that happened. The worst part is that she became pregnant, she tried to have an abortion but the doctor said it was to dangerous and so 25 days ago she had a baby boy. She initially gave it up for adoption but now wants to fight to get custody back with help from her parents because she is not working. At the moment the POS friend that did this to her does not know as they have not spoken since that night. I am in shock and have no idea what to do from this point. She sincerely apologized and said that i have always been the love of her life and would not know what to do without me. We both love each other very much but i dont know what to expect with the fiance visa pending..... IM LOST :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying::help:

I surely hate to be the one to point this out, but I can't see that this is going to look very good during her interview. Even though she states she was drunk and taken advantage of, you must consider how the Embassy will look at this? Their job is to prevent marriage fraud. The facts are she was engaged to you at the time, didn't tell you about this and didn't file charges against this person. From an outsiders point of view, it might look to be somewhat dishonest. It is just something you should think about as it would be twice as devastating if she was denied her VISA because of this. What a horrible situation and I wish you all the luck.

Hey March filers. Anyone still around? I haven't been on in a while and wanted to check in to see how everyone was doing. Nick and I are still waiting to hear anything from the Embassy in London. Everyone said this process goes so fast after approval but I'm not seeing it. Looks like most of you are together now and a few are even already married so congrats to you guys. I'm happy for you all, though envious! Heh. Is Andie, Res, and Rong still waiting for their NOA2? Hopefully, not! I'd love to know what step everyone is at now.

As a side note, does anyone know what number to call to check on your visa once it's gone to the embassy (ours is in London)? I have two numbers but they are so expensive and Nick has already called them twice which is like $40!!! How can they charge so much for a two minute phone call?!?! I heard someone say you could call the state department? Anyone have a number for that? Anyone phone numbers that anyone could share I would be happy to have.

Still waiting for NOA2...

US Veteran, taxpayer, manager in a fortune 35 company, never been in trouble... marrying a well established woman, company manager, who is one month younger...

Smells like a scam to me too! So lets torture them by delaying them at least twice as long as everyone else, and tell them absolutely nothing ... sounds like a fair trade.....

That is just so ####### that you guys are still waiting! It doesn't make any sense what so ever.... Has your senator been able to tell you anything? I just contacted mine again today for help with our second leg of the journey. I think after his help before he might be part magician so we'll see if he can help.... Anyways, I'm sorry you're still stuck with VSC. I feel outraged for you. We need to revamp this whole system.

Tigerflower, can you message me the number again? I looked but I don't see it. That other number is so expensive!!!
