Well, hope everyone is hanging in there okay today. My Mom is in town visiting so I probably won't be on a lot again until Thursday. Tomorrow we're going to look at a beautiful wedding venue, which is exciting and disheartening all at the same time. It would certainly be a lot nicer to have Nick here with us to look at it, but what can you do? Also, as of the 28th we are one month past our RFE. I wrote our congress back today to notify them so hopefully we will have some news or something soon. Three days away from eight months and I just don't know how much more of this I can bear. Even typing that out turns my stomach and makes my whole chest feel tight.

Enjoy the time with family and researching venues! I've gotten doubtful again that my case will be the one lost in lalaland for months and months. I cannot bear the thought.

It truly has me totally baffled that they can ignore so many March and go on to April. However, didn't they do the exact same thing to Feb?? We got all excited, but it ended up the same situation. I honestly feel you are very very close, because they ARE working on your stack!

I have some questions about NVC if anyone knows...

Are all petitions sent there are do some by-pass and go directly to the Embassy? How do you know?

If it does go through NVC, do you get notified when they receive it and/or when they send it to the Embassy?

...I see there is a place on our timelines for this information, but I have not received anything after the NOA2 notice. I saw a few posts about "tracking" your package once it leaves USCIS but I am not finding out how.

Help anyone?

It is my understanding that all applications go to NVC and receive a case # and is then forwarded to the appropriate embassy.

There seems to be a lot of positive activity though... must be getting really close :yes:

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

We didn't ever get one... our petition ended up in at least 3 different places and the cheque wasn't banked until May... but we've talked to VSC and they said they had everything they needed... that was in August. Nothing further.. we have an Infopass appointment for this Friday. I need to check with my fiance and see if there is any other reference number that came with the appointment card they have sent him for the infopass.

Thanks... yes I'm really really really tired of it all now. I stayed strong for such a long time, but just lately...well, you guys know. I hope everyone still on this thread gets some happy news over this week. :blink:
