Random question: anyone here know of the longest a person has waited for approval - without an RFE?

I think I saw someone posting with an NOA1 of early November 2011 that is still waiting. Reason was due to a background check still in progress.

A friend of mine waited a year for their NOA1 because her husband was going through a legal battle for custody of his kid AND then their file was lost.

So a year just for the NoA1?? :wacko:

By the way, I sincerely hope VSC moves its *ss for the people waiting beyond us. If they are not caught up by December, they'll transfer to CSC.

Sure.... Besides being sequestered for a few days :), I plan on taking him for a tour of his new home... Then some real Texas barbecue then for his favorite food - pizza - which he doesn't get much of in Jamaica... I plan on letting him experience all the variety of pizzas there are in our home town over time....

03-03-2012 - NOA1 received

09-26-2012 - RFE

10-09-2012 - RFE response sent

10-15-2012 - status changed to "RFE review"

10-31-2012 - NOA2 (after 8 months of hell!)

11-09-2012 - NVC received

11-20-2012 - medical examination

11-22-2012 - packet 3 from the Embassy received and sent back

12-06-2012 - interview: approved

12-17-2012 - POE: Washington DC

12-29-2012 - Wedding

03-01-2013 - AOS package sent

04-28-2013 - EAD/AP approved

08-02-2013 - update from USCIS (it may take another 6 months from now due to delays!)
