Can I recommend something? Try to look at the weeks still, not the days. If you think "today is your day" you stand a much greater risk of being disappointed by a broken system. For me, looking forward to this or next being "my week" at least doesnt break my heart every day.

Good luck! :)

The greatest part is that I have been telling my fiance how great it is in the USA and the way things work. How it's better than when we lived in Manila. This process really makes me a liar and sets a bad example of how things work here to everyone involved.

You and I are the same NoA1 date. There seems to be a large gap for the 9's. I have a feeling we will be last on here, as VSC is plowing through the 20's... Monday will be day 200 for us. Not to mention, next week is the last one of September. Happy Thursday, everyone....

I also won't abandon anyone stuck here. It helps to have people who understand. :)

Hello everyone I have been reading the posts since I joined trying to understand the process... It was sort of comforting to know that I was not the only one suffering... I wanted to get married on Oct 20 but it looks like that will not happen... Anyway I have a question how do you find out if your file has been touched?

USCIS is an absolute shame!!!! Just don't let it reflect all of America, and most importantly the people :)

Welcome!

Sometimes, you'll get a text, or an email. Sometimes, you won't. Sometimes, you'll get a letter. Sometimes, you won't. Hahaha ok I've lost it.

Have you checked the status of your case on the USCIS website? That's how we check, although sometimes, it never gets changed. You've got a lucky NoA1 date... not a 9. You'll probably be approved soon! :)

Vroum7!

That's very sweet of you :)

The date I received my NOA 2 is March 21st.

Also guys on the forum, My fiancee contacted my congressman (NYC) and USCIS replied to him saying that my file is pending and we should hear from them within 30 days.

Surprise surprise! Its as if I didn't know my file is pending. Problem is, it has been pending for 5 months + 30 days!

Le Sigh!

So I'm not sure if contacting your congressman is of any use!

So I am going to push back my expectation to getting the NOA2 in 7 months, that seems to the the norm for the march filers!!!

Also guys, I recently discovered that going for manicures, afternoon teas and associated pamper-me-sessions make the wait less excruciating!

Don't think of this time as a oh no waste of my life time! Think of it as a, oh time to pamper ME for one more month!

Good luck everyone! We are extremely close!!!! God bless us alllllllllll!

9 is the dark horse NOA1 date. It's bad luck. Cursed! When the adjudicators see a 9 they immediately spit on the petition and throw it on the floor to process a date that is far from 9.
