Aetas are so much different from Igorots. You guys do not know what you are talking about. Someone just got a couple of pictures and presume they have seen all the tribes of the Igorots. I know what I'm talking because i grew up in Baguio and live there for so long. I have adopted their way of life even visiting the hinterlands of the mountain provinces. I rest my case.

Case Closed............

I stayed there a few years ago, and we just rented a house. It was about $300 usd for the week. But it was a big house, with full kitchen, shower heater etc (we also had friends with us that pitched in to pay and stay) So if you are going with a group or friends, this might be a good option.

I didnt find much to do in baguio, everyone goes to the same spots. Strawberry field, mines few, the park, the place with a bunch of steps which has horse back riding. And some botanical stuff, otherwise, i couldnt find much. The shops in baguio sell old clothes. The markets which i had hoped would have cool stuff, like hand made crafts and etc, ended up just being china knock off nike shoes and etc.

Avoid crystal cave, it has no crystals and the locals try to scam you, they have turned the cave into their personal CR (or bathroom) Smells horrible.. They have broken off all the crystals and sold them

I didnt find that people were very friendly to me there, although i loved the weather. I went into a restaurant near the main park (the ones where you can rent the swans and peddle around the lake thing) The staff was rude, didnt want to take our order, and seemed pissed off at us the whole time for being there.

I spent a few days there in 2010. I didn't stay in a hotel as my wife have family there (my wife is originally from nearby Pangasinan).

I love the place and the weather - much cooler than other places.

We went to the Strawberry Fields, Wright Park, The Mansion and a few other places.

The only thing I do not like about the place was the ride to and from there. Baguio is on a mountain top & it a long ride with some of it on a narrow road; there were vehicle overtaking other vehicles on a curve (including on a blind curve). One misstep and it is about 100+ feet (1000 feet in some places) to the bottom. But once you get there - the place is beautiful. If I had to choose places to live in the PI, Baguio would be on the list.
