Adding the Oath Ceremony date 06/22/12........ Got the letter in the mail yesterday!!!!

Hey congrats...Is the oath in St.Louis? I see oath in St.Louis on 22nd but not in Kansas city, MO.

There is a special oath infront of St.Louis arch on July 3rd. It would have been awesome to be taken oath there.

Hey . How do you see that will be an oath time anywhere ? Anyone tells me if there is an oath in Raleigh nc tomorrow ? Or any idea to check the dates . My interview is tomorrow and I am traveling Sunday (17) I hope to pass them both I am so scared please wish me good luck :| I will contact you back as fast as I can .. Best of luck to us all

Yay, passed the interview! I am so excited. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes.

The IO was not in a mood at all and hardly smiled at me. Anyways, just as usual with other folks, I was being asked following six questions:

1. What is the supreme law of the land?

2. What is an amendment?

3. Who vetos bills?

4. What is the capital of your state?

5. What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?

6. Who did the United States fight in World War II?

Then was informed to read following: "What is one right or freedom from the FIrs Amendment?"

Then asked me to write following: "The white house is in the United States."

Then looked at my file and asked the yes, no and other N-400 form related questions. Also asked if I have last year's tax return, which I brought so gave it to the IO. Also was asking if I had any utility bills that has my name, to which, I said no I don't. Then I was told to wait outside to get the Oath Ceremony appointment.

Hurray. My oath will be on the 27th of June.

I am finally almost done with the process, one more step and I am US Citizen. Yay!

Its easy...look up for US district court in your area and most of the time they will publish a schedule of naturalization oath cermony. In my case it is Kansas District court, In DARUMA07's case it was Western district of Missouri district court.

Is there a passport office near you that you can make an appointment at to go and get same day passport? If so call and make an appointment for the earliest time possible, like 0730 in the morning and take with you a copy of your flight booking. I realize you wouldn't get in until the day of wedding, but at least you wouldn't miss it an you would be a US Citizen, so a double celebration.

As for changing your Oath date I have no answers, although I am sure others will have knowledge about it.
