Thanks!

Looking at my spreadsheet, there's still a few people with NOA2 dates before yours that haven't gotten numbers yet. You should probably get your case number next week. Just keep calling everyday yes.gif

Well, the call center is staffed until midnight, yes. But that doesn't mean that the people processing cases are there until midnight. "We just started scanning your case in" could mean that it was started during the workday and on hold until the next day. Saylin? Opinion?

Sorry, was in class, so I couldn't respond. But now I can :D

So, this is how I've heard it works at NVC: there's two shifts at NVC for reviewers/operators/other workers. There's one from 8am to 4pm, and then 4pm to 12am (8 hour shifts). So, it's definitely possible that work can be done on your case at 11pm. But, you're right in that aspect that no work is done between 12am to 8am as NVC is closed.

I have this crazy question on my head I would like to throw out to you guys to see if you can please share your ideas/opinions:

If I don't get any checklists let say within the first 48 hours of NVC receiving my IV package, could it possibly mean that everything was good and it was accepted?

Keep in mind, the reviewing time always differs at NVC. Sometimes it takes 3 weeks to get packages reviewed, others take just a few days. There's no guarantee that if you haven't heard anything in x amount of time that you don't have a checklist.

Grats.

I mentioned this earlier though: you don't get an email saying your DS-261 was accepted. Your DS-261 could have been accepted, but you wouldn't know since your IV wasn't invoiced because there's a slowdown at NVC at the moment for EP cases.

Saylin, here's an odd question. Is there a way to opt OUT of ep? I'm really held up, not even an AOS invoice yet, no answers from NVC other than being put on hold for a few minutes and then getting the "10 to 20 days" script, and people not in EP seem to be going faster. Thoughts?

Yes, I've seen people opt out once or twice. I believe the way to do it is exactly the same as opting in, except in the subject line, you'd put "opt out" instead of "opt in", then probably include a small paragraph in the body explaining that you want to opt out of EP. But I dunno if I'd recommend this. I'm sure you'll get invoiced very soon (read: today); you just have to hold in there. Have you called operators today asking about the status of your invoice?

Whichever they accept as long its ok.I see the payment to be paid at Online forms portal but when i click, i dont see any payment to be selected to pay.For the payment portal i find nothing to select to pay.

Always make sure you're logging into the payment portal to pay bills, not the forms portal. And I hope you're using IE (as much as it sucks).

And keep in mind, your DS-3032 was JUST accepted today, it still takes a day or two to get the IV bill invoiced.

I won't yet, but I'm all about options. I like to know mine. Lol. I called yesterday at about 9 pm, and the operator (who could barely understand me, or communicate with me) put me on hold for like a minute or so (I'm assuming because he had no idea what I was asking). When he came back, it was like he wasn't even listening anymore, like they'd infused his body with the same model they all try to follow. Like he was the Stepford Wife of NVC...

I'd suggest trying again and asking them to invoice your AOS bill. Explain it's been X amount of days since your case number was assigned. Tell them you know it shouldn't be taking this long as others around you that got their case number on the same day have gotten their AOS invoiced. If necessary, tell them you wish to speak to a supervisor. Be adamant. If the person can't speak English, hang up and try again headbonk.gif

phew just finished reading all the posts since yesterday.

So Today marks one week since my NOA2, I am hoping that the NVC will have it received by today. SO I guess I should expect a case number by the end of next week or maybe Monday the 8th? What is this deal I hear about EP being slower now. How should I proceed? Should I opt in? It is probably a good thing for the environment, saving the planet one case at a time. I think I might still stick with it. I don't want to print all those pages and then have them shipped. Although yesterday I did propose driving all the way from the CSC to the NVC wit the case file just to get them to start working on it so I guess I am really torn on this issue

I am going to call NVC in the evening sometime today.
